If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Well....hope I got a good price since I love the car and finding out I didn't would hurt a little. TrueCar says I got an "unusually low price."

Right at a week ago, bought a 15 Genny, 3.6 RWD, Ultimate for $44k....TTT increased total but being military stationed out of my home state, not too bad.

Parisian grey with ivory interior. Love it....until I spill something.
That's a very good price before any rebates. Congrats!

Been browsing all different threads about the Genesis and finally decided to register and post. I'm in the market for the new 5.0 Ultimate and wanted to share what deals are on the table.

Currently considering 2 USED 2015 5.0 Ultimates from Carmax:
4K miles for $46K
7K miles for $44K
They are giving me 13K trade-in value on my 2009 Acura TL

Are these good deals? Has anyone had good success or horror stories with Carmax?

The other deal from a dealer on a lease $559/mo with TTT included with $0 down at signing. I don't know the specifics about residual value and all that jazz (I've never leased or considered leasing before) as he just sent me that number via email. Maybe there is some wiggle room on these numbers, but $559 on a lease seems quite high to me.

Would welcome any feedback you guys have on a "new" vs "used" and if these prices look good. Will be test driving one of the Carmax cars later today and the other will be delivered early next week.

THANKS!

Worked with Carmax when looking for used Volts for business in my company. Found them to do what they say and say what they do. Not the cheapest kid on the block, but within range. Easy to do business with.

Please post the leasing detail. Tons of good folks here who know the leasing process.

Until you know, understand and are fairly comfortable with the mechanics of leasing, do not go there. Focusing on payment alone is an old tactic used to sell and leasing, while a good purchase option method for some, is also rigged to be confusing and can be manipulated to veil a deals important specifics.

It's not that complicated and there are plenty of resources both in this forum and online to determine if you're getting a good deal or getting fleeced. I agree with maize that you shouldn't focus on payment. Approach the dealership as if you're making a purchase, negotiate your best price and then tell them to work up a lease based on that number. Know the base residual value and money factor for your lease term and demand the dealer clearly show you what it will be.
It is a more involved process than buying but ultimately one that can say you money if you go in prepared. [/URL]

Thanks for the feedback. As suggested, I'll be contacting the dealer to nail down a purchase price first. They haven't been budging too much in the Atlanta, GA area...nothing compared to some of the deals I've seen on this thread. Current deal on the table is a purchase price of $53,7 for the 5.0 Ultimate. IMO, there's definitely some room for negotiation. After the purchase price is set, will then ask about some lease numbers.

Thanks again.

I was under the impression that nationwide the 5.0 was a slow seller. Here In SoCal I've gotten $47,8..to $48,9.. from various dealers (during March rebates).

Hey everyone - first post here. Just got my brand new 2015 3.8 RWD with the signature package last night...Bought it from a dealership that was over 2 hour drive away in Indianapolis (I live in Cincinnati, OH). 15 minute conversation over the phone about pricing and they drove it to my house and picked up my trade in for free, no charge. Also gave me the installed mud guards, first aid kid, and installed rear genesis logo for free as well and the interior/exterior coating and dent protection for half off at $500. MSRP with delivery charge was $43,950, bought it for $39,000 even plus all of the extras mentioned above they threw in and free delivery to my house. Needless to say I am very happy and feel like I got an awesome deal. Absolutely love it so far! I came from a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX, so the difference is huge!!! While not as fast or sporty, it's surprisingly quick and agile for a car that big. Very happy.

Heisenberg, congratulations! What dealer did you use? I am looking for a dealer in Indy to do my rear wing.

Thanks! I went with Terry Lee Hyundai, they are new to that area. Probably the easiest process of buying anything significant I've ever had. Literally 15 minute conversation over the phone, next thing I know I'm getting a call back saying it's on it's way to my house to be delivered.

Thanks! I have seen them... I live not too far from their dealership, which just recently opened.

Heisenberg, welcome and congrats on the new ride! Just a quick question, if we observe you, does your car change colors or something? :D

I also just finalized my new 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate Package today with Terry Lee Hyundai in Noblesville, IN. Empire State Grey w/ Ivory interior. They had no problem locating the color options I wanted and said I can pick it up Saturday!
They were easy to work with and gave me an incredible price ($3,000 less) compared to other offers from competing dealerships. They gave me top dollar for my trade too.

Going to give another thumbs up to Terry Lee Hyundai.

Got Circle pricing, Loyalty and Veteran rebates. $52,700 list. Deal price $46,000. Then top dollar for the 07 Accord, as well as, a few extra accessories.

Service department has been great for my GC Track.

Congrats! My buddy's Dad is the manager there, good guy. Clearly they didn't just treat me so well becuase I'm friends with his son, and it seems like high customer service is the status quo there. I still can't believe how easy the process was for me considering the deal I got. They gave me top dollar for my trade in too.

We made a couple of visits. They even gave us a tour of the facility. We made made them work for the sale, to be sure. But every one was so engaged, professional, informed and friendly. The customer service standards are clearly high. Much better than other dealers including too many Hyundai dealerships (have a few horror stories...and have read even more). Glad they are in the "hood"

Happy motoring!

Well, picked up my (NEW to me) 2015 5.0 Ultimate (wheel locks, first aid kit, cargo net) last Friday and I LOVE it! Parisian Gray with black interior. It had 4K miles on it and I paid 45,900 (including dealer doc fee) plus tax. They gave me a good trade value on my '09 TL. The car looks like it's brand new and I didn't have to take the "new car hit". I'm happy with my deal. I'll be going back to the dealer on Monday so that they can swap out the trunk badge for free. BTW, it's a Certified Pre-Owned so it comes with the full 10yr/100K mile power train warranty.

2015 3.8 AWD - Caspian Black with a Signature package plus cargo tray, first aid kit, mud guards, wheel locks.

Sat down with a salesman yesterday. Here are his offerings: $42099 and an additional $1000 off due to an incentive (coming from another manufacturer).

Thus the deal looks like this: $42099 + $210 (registration/plates) + 6% tax = $44,870 - $1000 (the incentive) = out the door $43,870.

I did not sign a deal, as I want to research the price. I was not really armed and ready to battle yesterday.

Is this a decent starting point?
