  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I debadged the rear. Love the sleeper effect with folks guessing what engine the car has.

I agree with you. I took everything out that could give any info on my car. Many times have I caught people trying to figure out what it is

This. Addtionally, a V6 won't come with fog lights (though I'm sure plenty of folks add them in the aftermarket). I do believe Hyundai will rectify this with future models, however.

You still have the Genesis emblem affixed. I'm surprised people would have difficulty figuring out what kind of vehicle it is. I removed that as well.

Those are easy to recognize for those of us that own the car. However, at least 99.9% of the general public will not know what kind of car it is or what engine it has.
I've had so many folks ask is it an Audi, Aston Martin, Chrysler, Bentley and one person even Tesla.
Regarding the engine, I've yet to date had someone guess correctly.

Here are photos of my Black 2015 Genny.

I purchased the car in June of last year and these photos are from January when I did my second wash and wax. In the 2nd photo it is pictured next to my brother's 2014 Buick Lacrosse and behind is my dad's 2009 Mercedes E350. All black. We like black cars, lol.

When I bought the car I spent a good 5 hrs washing, claying, sealing the paint with 2 layers, and then 2 layers of wax.

This follow up treatment was a wash with 2 layers of wax. I use Colonite 845 as my wax as it lasts a long time.

EDIT: Not sure why the 1st and 3rd pics are sideways. When i open them with anything they are in the correct orrientation.

Looks good in brown; the brown I saw at the dealership wasn't clean and didn't have the same visual impact (obviously).

Just stop. :) Your car puts all others to shame. Not even playing in the same universe. I wish I wasn't so practical, cause I would take some of the money we have earmarked for renovating our master bathroom and get those headlights.

lol nah man I think they all look great! Now obviously I personally prefer the KDM lights, but it's still just one part of a beautiful car. I like seeing the other colors too; I think it almost shows different personalities of the car, if that makes sense.

Aguineas: The amber DRLs looks 100% better than the stock ones. Love Sophia's lashes. hehe What a difference. Very clean!

Picked it up last Friday and I LOVE it!

It looks so clean without a front license plate.

It looks so clean without a front license plate.

Two things I actually like are that some of us are lucky enough to live in states that see no value in front license plates and while we lose some neat features, those of us that do not have the AEB/Dynamic Cruise Control get a better looking (IMO) grille.

If that's the trade off, then I'll keep my Dynamic Cruise Control. It's one of the top features of my Genesis (besides looks, comfort, handling and power :) ) that having used for a few k miles now, I wouldn't do without.

Congrats on your new ride. That color was my second choice. Sharp looking for sure.

Thanks! This was my second choice as well. Empire state gray was my first but the only one they had in the 5.0 Ultimate had the front license plate holder already installed. I'm actually happy that it worked out that way now. I absolutely LOVE it.
