  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Incredible video. I liked Hyundai's approach of demonstrating the features, not just talking about them.

Yeah, these commercials they're doing lately are great. I like their advertising agency.

Old news - posted here some time ago, but still very cool for the newbies who may not have seen it yet.

As usual I'm late to the party. :o

Yeah Empty Car Convoy was a great ad. The ones with Ryhs Millen were also really cool but they are all older than the Message to Space video that came out her recently.

Thanks for posting this. I am another fairly new (1 month) owner and had missed this.

The Genesis is my wife's car, and she is a fan of the Fast and Furious movies.

Before sharing the commercial with her, I told her she could NOT plan on doing this! She loved this commercial almost as much as the "space message" one.

Thanks for making sure us newbies got in on the fun of watching.

Okay, I don't feel so bad for being late to the party now. :p It's true - we need to get this stuff out in front of brand new owners. :)

Does anyone know the convoy speed when the braking fun started?

I just sent a link to this video to my son and other relatives. Very cool ad.

The speed had to be >45 mph ....doesn't look much faster...but when I first saw the ad in Apr 2015 it played a big part in why I bough the car a month later......after 20k....still very pleased.

I'm going to guess it was around 50mph. The speedometer is blocked out in most frames by the steering wheel.
You can see the tach showing about 2000rpm, but not sure what gear is selected.
Around the 1:40 mark you get a glimpse of the speedo and it appears to be at 50 mph.

Nice catch!

At 00:39 you can see the speed approach 50 mph. My owners manual states that below 50 mph, the car should not hit the object in front. Probably why they chose 50 mph for the video. However, I find it reassuring that if driving at 70 mph, I end up hitting at say 10 to 20 mph.

Does the car still brake above 50 MPH?

Anyone else feel like the "lane keep assist" is nowhere near as good as the video demo makes it seem? I mean these were perfect ideal conditions (bright, well marked road) but, even on that sometimes I really feel that it just jolts you from one side of the lane to the other.

There are two short segments in the ad that show a Genesis approaching, but not touching the white lines, then turning back away from the lines, one segment on the right line, and one on the left line. The LKA in my Genesis does not keep you in the center of the lane, except by accident. Mine only makes a steering correction when approaching, but not hitting a line. I don't think the system is designed to keep you in the center of the lane. However, creative editing of video can make it look that way.

I just purchased the 2016 3.8 AWD a couple days ago. I don't remember this video, but it was wonderful to see. Thanks for posting. A Happy Proud Newbie!!!
