Old news - posted here some time ago, but still very cool for the newbies who may not have seen it yet.
Thanks for posting this. I am another fairly new (1 month) owner and had missed this.
The Genesis is my wife's car, and she is a fan of the Fast and Furious movies.
Before sharing the commercial with her, I told her she could NOT plan on doing this! She loved this commercial almost as much as the "space message" one.
Thanks for making sure us newbies got in on the fun of watching.
Does anyone know the convoy speed when the braking fun started?
I just sent a link to this video to my son and other relatives. Very cool ad.

Nice catch!I'm going to guess it was around 50mph. The speedometer is blocked out in most frames by the steering wheel.
You can see the tach showing about 2000rpm, but not sure what gear is selected.
Around the 1:40 mark you get a glimpse of the speedo and it appears to be at 50 mph.
At 00:39 you can see the speed approach 50 mph. My owners manual states that below 50 mph, the car should not hit the object in front. Probably why they chose 50 mph for the video. However, I find it reassuring that if driving at 70 mph, I end up hitting at say 10 to 20 mph.I'm going to guess it was around 50mph.
Pg 549 of the 2015 Owners manual says:Does the car still brake above 50 MPH?
Anyone else feel like the "lane keep assist" is nowhere near as good as the video demo makes it seem? I mean these were perfect ideal conditions (bright, well marked road) but, even on that sometimes I really feel that it just jolts you from one side of the lane to the other.
