I've had four caddys (three CTS and one SRX) and am picking up a Genesis Ultimate 3.8 AWD next week. Would have loved a 5.0 but AWD makes too much sense in snow belt.
I was evaluating against CTS 3.6 Luxury which was still about 5,000 greater MSRP.
I know you were looking at turbo six but I would offer the following concerns I had:
-run flats on Caddy
-is subjective but the Caddy CUE and interior is just too busy
-is subjective but like the Genesis styling- the longer wheelbase proportions the car better and the CTS rear end just seems too big and long for the car
-in my case 8 speed vs CTS 6 speed
-Genesis better rear leg room
-Genesis better warranty
- a laundry list of other options not on the CTS
At the end of the day my Genesis lease is 100 mo. less than the V6 Luxury CTS. My company is paying so price isn't the issue - I just like the car better.
I have read all the reviews- some call Genesis the pretender I like to call it the upstart.
I think this model could change the way we perceive mid luxury car buying in the future.
