As for piped in sound or audio auto tuned sound... The insulated Is emotional justification. As I said before, if these vaunted Porsche or BMW lessors or owners had heard about this from Oriental car makers 7 years ago, they would be trolling around then mocking others. They would say things like "if you had s good sounding motor and drivetrain, with a refined chassis that does not have annoying road/tire noise, you would not need this fake sounds". You KNOW the snoots would react this way.., but because it is in some German prestige car they pay or lease, mother will justify anything and call it good.. What nonsense.
The excuse about insulation being too good, is like a addicted alcoholic saying fine wine needs some Tequila added. But, it is a free choice. Just quit trying to say it is superior. It is not.. What is next, adding faux tire squealing or roaring tires like on a old James Bond movie chase scene? Or how about fake road noise because the cars are too well insulated. Or, how about fake feedback with electric motor driven power steering when going over bumpy road because the suspension is too insulated? Oops, they already do the fake feedback thing on the steering.. And the Koreans now have joined in... Looks like fake sounds in our cars are next.. Will end my purchasing Hyundai...
Just so long as any of this fakery is not run by the Lucas Electric of today.. Continental... That German company has caused fits with crappy reliability self drive or traffic alert tech.. Which is also installed in the Hyundai line. Oh, and when it is out of warranty, the cost to repair makes Lucas crap of old look low cost.
