  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

if i can get the job i'm looking at, and my buddy takes over the payments to my STi, i AM NOT getting a Genesis Coupe.

i will be buying a pullied and tuned 04 Cobra. if i DON'T get the Cobra, there may be a chance i get the Genesis Coupe in a couple months.

not getting rid of it, but it will become a full time track car when i get my genesis coupe :D

i agree with the mazda and saturn but dawg! bro! wtf would you get rid of a sti? Both of yous should get bant from nasoic for such blasphemy.

not sure i'm gonna trade it in.

first of all, the GC is a pretty badass car, but i don't think it will keep me happy for very long.

i just can't seem to drive anything that's not fast. i'm looking at an 04 pullied Cobra right now and if everything goes well, i'll prolly get that instead.

Not sure if I am trading it in or just selling it.

Just sold my 92 Talon and my 93 Talon is going to a new home tomorrow night or Tuesday. I need to get rid of my Altima also and clear some more room out in the driveway. With all those cars gone, I will down to six cars in the garage and driveway... lol.

foolishness, the coupe is very fast, trust me.

Don't have pics to contribute at the moment, but was seriously considering trading in my 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (in "steel blue" color).

It seems like most of my friends and co-workers like my Eclipse better than I do. I dunno... I was initially excited with it. I thought Mitsu did a great job with the styling after really screwing it up with that previous model (looked like someone attacked the doors with a sharp rake or fork). But honestly? It's kind of "ehhh" performance-wise. Uses a lot of 91 octane gas to get no more than 232HP out of the V6, and the brakes have been squealing and squeaking constantly since the day I bought it. (Found out after it was too late that they had a recall for that issue, and would swap you out with redesigned pads free if you had under 10K miles or so on the car when you complained.) Plus, it's FWD ... and we all know you can't have a REAL sports car with front-wheel drive.

I have to be honest though. I'm sort of "iffy" on the new Genesis Coupe too. The reviews I've read seem to be overly generous about them if you ask me. Maybe I'm just picky? But I thought the interior felt cheap. Turn signal and wiper levers felt flimsy, like my ex-g/f's Chevy Aveo or something.... Center stack has that silver painted plastic where you know the silver is gonna wear off in spots after a year or two and look like crap. Even the plastic flap at the bottom of it that hides the lighter plug felt really cheap.

The 3.8 V6 Grand Touring model (automatic) I test drove had plenty of power, but it didn't feel like it was applied smoothly either. I'd describe it as much more "notchy". Maybe some people like that feel. I could see how it might seem more "sporty" that way, but I don't think I cared for it much.

On the flip side? There's just no denying you get a LOT of features and options for the dollar on the Genesis Coupe. I'm still interested in one, but I'd really like to get a chance to at least drive a "track" model to see how it feels vs. the Grand Touring.....

I'll be getting rid of this for a yellow 3.8 track in August

I don't have a picture, but I traded a '08 Toyota Yaris hatchback for my Coupe. The Yaris was a nice, reliable little car but certainly not very exciting.
