If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Solution! LED DRL's and LED turn signals

As I wait for my VLED's, I also ordered JDM ASTAR Super Bright AX-2835 Chipsets White/Amber standalone to see if they work. I know you need a load resistor for hyper flashing but wondered if the Genesis had one already. In the pic the white rectangular object with the marking 4LM that looks roughly the size of a resistor.

Anyway going to put those in a see what happens.

Do these headlights have the self leveling and turn with the steering wheel feature as well?

Do these headlights have the self leveling and turn with the steering wheel feature as well?

- Self-leveling = yes (mandatory for HID's)
- Turn with steering = no

Did anyone try this already http://www.ebay.com/itm/141534149715?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
The seller says no hyper flash and it is plug-and-play so resistors are not needed and all the "problems" in installing the VLED will be avoided.

Do not buy these. I did, and installed them yesterday. They do not solve the hyper flash issue. They cause an intermittent hyper flash, which is terribly annoying. Think blink - blink - ----blink blink blink - blink - blink. (hope that makes sense )

They do look nice as DRL's fwiw. Thinking I could maybe install a load resistor to solve the intermittent flashing issue?

You never know how they supposed to be connected and what s is supposed to be there to
Control them. Because of that am
Taking trip from. FL to CA to install the best lights you ever have and can have , smart phone color controlled angel eyes with dual projector color controlled with iphone
It's going To be the best and as no one has before :)) ill keep you posted , but those lights are going to be the killer ones :)))

There are many factors when it comes down to the power needed. Halos come in different sizes; some are as small as the size of a Dollar Coin and some are as big as the size of a mini Fan. Each of these sizes hold a specific amount of LEDS. Some hold up to 60 tiny LEDs and some hold as many as 1000 tiny LEDs. After you have the amount set, you need a voltage regulator to give each size its specific amount of power needed in order for it to power up the halos successfully without dying. This becomes an issue because manufactures do not pay attention to this step and just send out Drivers (voltage regulators) with the halos and the drivers may not be designed to hold the power needed to light up the specific size of each halo. RGB have drivers that regulate each of the 3 colors. So for this reason they are reliable because the drivers will not fail the halo.
Sorry I sent without copy/paste

Has anyone connected the Dim lead for the Vleds lights? If so could you post a picture where you connected it at. Are the light so bright that you need this at night?

Hi Everyone! For those of you who have used the VLED switchback for a while now, how has your experience been? And how did you solve the issue of the hole in the dust cover? If you have all the pieces in the housing, is that working out with the heat issue?

Thanks!! I have the PIAA white lights in my car right now as in NJ white turn signal is legal. Tried the CREE LEDs from Amazon (same as on eBay) from IJDMTOY and the hyperflash issue was there, very disappointed.

One really cool thing about the PIAAs for those of you considering, is that they are blue tinted bulbs. The reflectors in the headlight housing of the turn signal really pick up that blue tint, so during the day it makes for a really cool blue tint look inside of the housing itself.

Thanks to the suggestion to use the PIAA (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002MAIJE/?tag=viglink21906-20) as an alternative to LEDs!

It took me 10 minutes to switch them out. Yes, the passenger side is tight and you need someone with slim hands to do the job without removing any cover...

The white color of the PIAAs looks great and matches the rest of the headlights really well.

Hey everyone. I use to mod VW's a while back. I've had a couple Lexus since those days so I've been out of the modding scene for a while, but this light issue feels like it really should be a software fix. I did read every post in this thread and no one has any luck yet. VW's had VAGCOM which was software you'd have on a laptop with an OBDII adapater to change stuff like this.

Wish it was this simple on our Hyundai's.

I did drive around with the parking lights on for a few days but decided that i'm fine with the amber lights. All the other luxo brands are going nuts with the LED DRL's and some look really bad (jaguar). I think it makes the car a bit more unique to have the amber DRL's. It feels even more exclusive now and it's not trying to be like all the other guys.

I'm really starting to love this car.

Connecting the dim lead isn't necessary. It is only for cars that use the minor filament of the turn signal bulb as a parking light. Our cars use the LED surround instead, and the turn signal bulbs are off at night except when signaling, when they should be bright.

I'm trying to install my kit, what do I do with the wire that says dim on it with on connection

On nvm, I see the answer, guess so I should have read that whole forum1

Ive had my tritons inside housing for close to a year now. No problem here. I dont driving around with DRLs (white mode) on. Both bulbs would switch back to amber for few seconds randomly independently. I got these tritons mainly for LED turning signal for that instant on and off.
