  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Solution! LED DRL's and LED turn signals

Wow Schindawg, that looks fantastic. Potentially adding this mod to the list of new-car mods, assuming Car Play and Android Auto come with 2016 model (limiting factors for me):

Replacing Hankook tires (can possibly work something out with the dealer before leaving the lot)
Aftermarket subwoofer
Ceramic Tint
Clear-bra
Radar detector hardwire

Looks good however is it the way you posted the video or is there something not quite right. The flasher is way to fast as if something is wrong with the circuit.

It's the video. I recorded just a very short bit on camera and the way it's looping cuts the timing short. Was just to illustrate how the signal changes from white to amber and back. In real life, the signals are the correct speed and very smooth.

Thanks for the clarification, nice modification.

Sorry everyone. Not sure why those attachments didn't work but we'll use the Photobucket method!

While I have very little interest in dropping that kind of dough on lights, I'd be lying if I said this didn't look boss and that I am jealous. The fact that I am trying (and failing) to rationalize a purchase like this is telling. I'd say that your pictures are sort of p!$$ing me off that Hyundai couldn't give us a car in the US that looks as premium as the Canadian car let alone as good as yours.

Same thing here. At least the 3.8 Ultimate should have this on. Fog lights and these lights , also other available features what is available in other countries as AVM/ Around View Monitor , if they have the technology installed , why we can't have it?

Thanks for the pics. It looks awesome as noted above. Looks like I might have to open up the check book :D

I agree; should have been there from the start, at least for the Ultimate. I've thought about adding the fog lights, but am going to wait until there is more clarity on signal stalk compatibility. I'm really not interested in adding a stand-alone fog-light switch. Now an additional sub on the other hand....

Schindawg, that looks AMAZING.

Thanks NTX. I think it's one of those rare things that totally transforms the look of the car which, beyond the functionality improvements, was another reason it was worth it for me.

A little late to the party but wow! Now tell us that you've installed an all around view monitor and my day will be made! 😂👍

Ask and you shall receive :D

Also off topic: Similar setup but tucked the amp in the left corner by the drivers side tail light. The JBL sub is so thin, that I really did not give up much usable trunk space. This ported 10" hits hard but still stays within the classy cleanness of the factory unit.

My large hands and increasing arthritis limit me from doing this myself. Anyone aware of an installer in the northeast that will do this mod?

Thanks. I'll need to take another crack at it. I never could get it to light at all. I know the Genny sees the module side with the VLED connected, thee on/off rate matches the other side, but the VLED doesn't light (fuse in or out).

BTW- I can get it to light white on external 12vdc

EDIT- figured it out. Power needs to go to BOTH the white and the amber terminals of the 1157 adapter, simultaneously. Then, when the power is switched on/off, it turns amber and flashes. When the power is constant, the controller switches the output to white. I'll need to modify the 1157 adapter slightly, but it will work. Thanks for the lead that got me to this point.

I can't tell by your picture but can you provide the modification wiring for the 1157?

Thanks.

Dismiss that. I had a 2013 Honda Accord in which I am transplanting. I tried the other an it works blinking but it is nigh in my garage so the DRL may not come on. Any way the one I apparently broke won't light up or blink and it causes hyper flashing of the turn signals in the back.

I will order another pair.

I just purchased a 2015 Genesis 3.8 12-31-14. I was disappointed to find out that my new car did not have LED fog lights. I thought they would be included when purchase all three packages. Is it possible to add these LED Fog Light at a reasonable price? Is there a place that can install the V-TEC LED's in place on the current signal/DRL lamp. The area that I live is D/FW, Texas. Thanks for your input and advise.
