  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Modified 2015+(DH) Genesis Thread

And it seems myself and rloyola0426 had the same questions. How are people getting the fog lights installed on the V6 and also changing the Amber DRL to white? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Upon further inspection of your pictures, how did you get the orange deflector in the headlights a different color?

JordanT, the KDM headlight are dual projectors. There is no orange filament like the US spec lights with one projector and one halogen bulb. Technically all lights are supposed to have an amber element to them but I seriously doubt Sean ever gets hassled for that.

I'm guessing the DRL could be a simple bulb change or you could remove the orange piece by removing the headlight and baking it like guys did years ago.

I definitely would not recommend that. A better option would just be to purchase the KDM headlights.

On a 2015, swapping to KDM headlights still leaves you with amber DRL's - the turn signal part of the LED brow!

My mistake. You guys and your fancy lighting mods. Too much for me.

I actually have grown to like the amber DRLS:

What I don't like is the flicker, but I think I found someone to fix that.

This is nothing compared to how much I'll be beaming when I get my wheels and a drop next year :-) My wife already teases me about looking back at my car when we're going somewhere.

by next year, I hope you mean 1.1.16.

your car is going to look great - I will have to find a reason to come to Texas after the mods are done. Maybe we can have a large summer meet and actually get people to come out.... we should discuss that.

Definitely would love to have a big meet- I've been trying to get a Genesis meet going for a while now.

Unfortunately it won't be 1/1 with Christmas and an upcoming $1400 HOA bill . I hate HOAs.

Welcome - nice to see you made it here. You should accept my request on wheelwell. I believe Andrew mentioned me in a comment in one of your pictures there.

Car looks great!

Also take a look at my rotors, I got them from Adams Rotors and you can customize the type, material, design and finish of your rotors. Pretty cool.

Yeap we are friends on wheelwell. I have been looking at your rotors for a while. I hope to start the project in early 2016.

I hope to start the project in early 2015.

That would be the ultimate mod - adding a Flux Capacitor ;)
