  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It seems there's a 'quirk' with the passenger seat controls that doesn't make sense. Wondering if it's normal or not. Please reply after running a quick test on your 16 "Genesi." (I take it the plural of Genesis is "Genesi")
The passenger seat controls on my sedan only works if someone is sitting in the seat. Is this how it works for everyone else? Thank you for the replies!

Just tried it. You can operate the power passenger seat without anyone sitting on it and the power button can stay in off position. 3.6 AWD Tech

No issues with my 2015 Genesis. You can adjust the passenger seat with no one sitting in it.

Thank you for the quick replies. I can now go back to the dealer who said it was not a problem.

The passenger seat works without anyone in the seat. I have a 2016 Genesis base.

If he gives you a hard time have him show you on one of the cars on the lot for comparision.

Sorry, it's cold outside so I'm not going out to try it, but, I found the rear seats only move if the adjacent door is shut. Are you trying your seat with the passenger door open?

In the U.S. market the rear seats only move never. He is talking about the front passenger seat.

Appeal to his "Mr. Spock": If it operated like this then a tall person would have to wedge themselves into the seat before they could move it back after a short person moved it way forward. This would be illogical, Captain. And possibly painful.

the people they have at their dealerships is one of their biggest problems IMO. unlike lexus, bmw, benz....hyundai has some pretty ghetto personnel
