  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So much easier to use "Send To Car" - from Google at a desktop or the Genesis app if mobile.

Is "Send to Car" from your desktop/laptop available to Hyundais? I know we can use Bluelink either through app or in the car, but I like to be able to send directly from my desktop as well. Sometimes it's more convenient than using the app. MB and Audi have this feature (as well as from app).

Yes - log into the My Hyundai site on a desktop/laptop and you can access it under Bluelink.

From a google map search on my desktop, I can select "Send to Phone", chose "Car" and my Genesis shows up to click on. It then links and launches to the MyHyundai BlueLink site and asks to confirm the send to my car.

Interesting. That's how it worked with my E350 but when I tried that today I only saw the E not the Genesis. Maybe I have to delete the E!

I've done "send to car" of POI via both google maps on desktop and Genesis app. In both cases, I get the "sent to car" confirm, yet I don't see the POI's anywhere. wondering if there is a glitch in the car system or that I'm just not looking in the right place. In my E350 any destination sent to car popped up the next time I started the car, regardless of which screen the DIS was on. Thanks!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
When I clicked "Send to Phone", I only found my LG Android tablet as the only device but no "Car." How do I add the Genesis as my car in my Google account? I have two phones paired to the Genesis, but they are both windows phone. Thanks in advance for help.

After I sent the above message, I found https://www.google.com/maps/sendtocar webpage to add car to my account.

They usually show up with a prompt when you next start the car - but not always :(

If not, they will be in the Bluelink menu under "Send to Car with Google":

That's where they were hiding. Thanks. Still wish it would pop up when you start the car, but at least I know where to find them now.
Sometimes it does pop up - but it's hit and miss

Isn't that just an extra step versus logging into the My Hyunda/Bluelink site and searching/sending to car from there? I have not ever had issues finding places on Google Maps that I could not also find in Bluelink?

Depends. Sometimes I go to Google maps to check on driving distance, options, traffic etc. Also many times I will select an address (maybe from anther site or email) then by habit open it in a new browser search window tab and then click on the google map.

I tried it through Google Maps and it did work, but it didn't actually bring over the street address and phone number like it does through Bluelink - it just brought over a point on the map to navigate to. So it works, but not as well as it appears to "lose" info.

Could someone direct me towards the Account ID that google is requesting for the 'send to car feature'? I dont see any type of account ID on the myhyundai web site once I am logged in.

Thanks.

It's just your Bluelink login - so likely your e-mail address. It works by redirecting you to Bluelink where you need to login to complete the Google Maps "send to car".
