Any lowering springs for 2015 Genesis sedan?

Does Hyundai void Warranty when you install a new aftermarket wheels, tires, and suspensions? To me, Genesis wheels are not looking great.

Wheels would be a stretch but springs might cause an issue with the warranty

Aftermarket parts don't "void" the warranty, the dealership can/will simply deny a warranty claim and refuse to repair under warranty items that are damaged due to non-OEM parts. So for example, if you install lowering springs and your struts give out early, the dealership will deny a warranty claim on the struts due to the non-OEM springs. If you install lowering springs and your power windows stop working, they'll have no reason to deny that claim, and you'd still be covered.

Personal example - I took my Genesis Coupe in because I was experiencing paint defects in the bumpers that were fairly well known for my model year/color. I also mentioned that there was a lot of body noise coming from areas that were also known to have faulty welds from the factory for my model year. They fixed the paint under warranty, and declined to even look at the welds because I was lowered on coilovers, instead attributing the noise to the aftermarket suspension. They said if I came back on stock suspension, they'd check the welds.

The level of cooperation from the dealership can vary - they could try to make some BS reason for denying a warranty claim, at which point you'd need to escalate, or be SOL. It never hurts to keep your OEM parts around so you can return to stock in case you need to go in for warranty work.

Has anyone installed the Ark springs with stock 18" wheels? Post pictures please! Leaning towards buying a set while they're still on sale...

I was going to install mine yesterday but my ball join remover does not work with the upper control arms balljoints and not one around me got one that will work so I will be ordering one and hopefully this weekend I will be able to. Once I get them install I will have the stock 18's while I drive to the shop to get my new wheels and tires installed and the car alignment done. I will take a picture and post it.

My warranty is nonexistent here in Germany anyways..lol. I'm headed back to the states for a month, then when I get back I'll begin my search for an installer...

So it snowed here so, I'm going to do the new rims and alignment on Monday. It took me around 6 hours to complete everything. I took a bunch of pictures along the way to maybe do a how to. Fronts( about 4 1/2 hrs) area B but the rears(about 1 1/2 hrs) are a piece of cake.

Car height before drop was 28" all the way around, after drop and test drive the car is down to 26 1/2"

Thank, yea I'm happy with the drop not too aggressive but no wheel gap. I went with ARK springs.

I couldn't wait for my friend so I took it to the local NTB and they alighted the but they did not installed the wheels because they said they wouldn't fit and that the front rubs the calipers. I know I checked for clearance before the spring and everything looked good. Now I have to double check to see if I do need spacers. At least I got a free alignment.

you should not need spacers and I doubt your calipers are rubbing.

So I test fitted the wheels again after lowering and the front barely clear the calipers but they do. I'm going to get 3mm spacers for the front so I have clearance when the calipers expand(heat up). Factory are rear close to the calipers too. The rears with the suspension loaded, I can fit my hand all the way around and I have pretty big hands.

i'm confused as to why your having clearance issues with the stock wheels after lowering? Am i missing something else that you might have did?

No I don't have clearance issues with the stocks. I just wanted to show how close the stock ones are. It is recommended to always have about 3mm of clearance because of heat expansion and I'm showing how the factory are like 2mm clearance and my new wheels are about .5mm clearance. I just ordered 3mm spacers just for the fronts.

Looks good, thanks for the pictures! I'm thinking if I do it, I may add spacers to push the wheels out just a little bit, maybe 15 mm.

The wheels are pretty flush but you have room to play with. I hate using spacers, but in my case I have to because the calipers.

I'll probably use Garageline if I go that route, they make a 15mm set. I had a 20mm/25mm set on my Coupe that worked perfectly.

Seeing these (might I add very nicely done Gen sedans), is it safe to assume that Ark gives a tad more of a drop than Storm? Also, anyone have pics of DH sedans lowered on non-OEM 19s? Thanks!
