Welcome, Sykotk (cool name ). How far is the nearest Genesis test drive event?

I signed up for the Philadelphia event this weekend. I'll update my impressions of the V8 vs. the base V6 I test drove 2 weeks ago. Cheesesteaks and Genesis- life can not get much better....

My guess would be Chicago...approx 600miles!

I went to the test drive event this past weekend in DC. I drove the 6 and the 8. Believe me there was not much of a difference in handling and accelleration. I believe 300 Hp with the 6 speed Asin Trans gets this car close to the 8 in terms of fun. On the straight away test only 2 second difference between 6&8. Even the Professional Driver that accompanied me said the 6 is more nimble and fun than the 8. Don't forget 300 pound difference between the two.

On a side note BOTH Hyundai's BLEW AWAY the Mercedes E500 and the Cadillac CTS.

I'm signed up for the "Philly" event too. I'm sure your aware that its in Delaware.

Sesame60-Thanks for the heads up- No, I did not and actually had the day planned for Philly. What a joke. I guess Delaware and Pennsylvania are all the same to the marketing genius in Korea. What happens if I invite him to an event in Seoul and actually hold it in Pyongyang?
This alters my plans quite a bit-it may end up being blue crabs in Maryland vs.cheesesteaks in Philly but it will probably end up no Genesis and hamburgers in NJ.

I was a little suprised when the Philly event turned out to be in Wilmington, since I live at the far Northeast end of Philly and Wilmington is over 50 miles away from my house. But, I did drive the Genesis 6 at the local Hyundai dealership and would like see how the V8 feels. Does anyone know how long the $500 certificate is valid? I ahve 12 months to go on my current lease so I would be looking to purchase another car till next June.

Yeah, it caught me off guard too which is why I wanted to make sure others were aware that it was in Delaware. Makes it a bit of a longer commute from Northern NJ and I'm scheduled to be there at 9:30am.......if you see someone who looks hung over driving South on 95 at 8:00am Sat......that would be me!

Since you will have "real world" experience with the car, they will let you sit in the tent, drink coffee, and educate the sales guys. Meanwhile they will use your "production" car for the test drives.
