There are numerous posts regarding installation of fog lights on 2015 Model Genesis' that did not come with factory fogs. I read them all, yet still have questions. I have a 3.8 AWD with the Signature, Tech and Ultimate Packages. My window sticker lists my lights as "HID Auto Headlights with Daytime (Amber) Running Lights and LED Accents". I want to add LED fog lights and have read posts on how to remove the plastic pieces that are in the slot (passenger and drivers sides) where the fogs would be if factory installed. I DO NOT have a fog-light control on the lighting control stem on the steering wheel. I read where one person direct wired fogs to the ignition, so they were on every time the ignition comes on. This would be legal in Michigan, so no problem if I have to go that route. One question is this... would LED fogs look odd with the Amber daytime running lamps if both are on at the same time? Has anyone done this? What is your opinion of wiring them directly to the ignition? I'm looking for basic answers here, so please save the technical stuff. Some of your posts are way over my head when it comes to electrical wiring. I'm guessing some of you that posted on similar threads are electrical engineers or such. Try to keep it simple. My wife really likes the look of the LED fogs on the newer Genesis' and asked if that can be done. My 2015 has only 9,800 miles, so it is way too early to trade it in for the newer models with the newer lighting setups, so after-market is what I'm looking at for now. I've priced these lights and they are not cheap, so I want to make sure there is a viable option before I make the purchase.
