  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I found this on another site. It effects the 14-speaker Lexicon system, not the base 7-speaker system to the best of my knowledge. I know there are a couple other guys on here in addition to myself w/ this audio system. So far, so good, but I will have it checked out at my first service.

Re: TSB: Hyundai Genesis 14-Speaker Audio System Amplifier Issues

Apparently, when the Genesis arrives at dealerships, they're being instructed to stress the amplifiers by turning the bass all the way up to max - as well as the volume - for two minutes (which by the way, there is NO distortion when turned up that high). If the amplifier either cuts out or shuts off, the car cannot be sold until the amplifier is replaced.

The amplifiers are not in stock - and there is no ETA on delivery - however, they're working diligently to have this taken care of. In any event, parts orders that are coming in for the Genesis are being done so as an 'emergency order' - meaning overnight.

The Genesis amplifier replacement is also referred to as Campaign T55.

Where did you get the information on parts orders being done as an "emergency order" (overnight)? Apparently my dealer didn't get that info, I'm on day 7 and still no part.
Thanks

Sorry, I don't remember. I think it may have been a press release..

My radio kept balcking out at odd times. The dealership is replacing my head unit and installing an amplifier in the trunk. I waited a month for the parts. I hope this helps. There have been so many issues parts are on back order!
