  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Formerly, two local dealers [Rochester, NY] had Genesis websites; they have disappeared. As of yesterday, the find-your-dealer utility shows Buffalo dealer as closest [60 miles away].

I noticed there were none up there yesterday when I was doing my "States without a Dealer" list. The 5 nearest Hyundai dealers to me decided not to be Genesis dealers either so my closest almost 90 miles away. Just think if their original plan went through, could have been 200 or so.

All three Genesis dealers I have near me updated their website with the new 2019 models (G70 included) but none have them in stock. I'm in Miami, South Florida. According to Genesis website there is no G70 sales in the whole state.

Same thing happened to the dealer website for Knauz in Lake Bluff - website is dead.

From what we can tell, any dealer that will be, or probably will be, a Genesis dealer in the future had their website updated with the G70 showing un the inventory. There are some dealers whose site was not so they may not be a dealer next year. Working theory anyways.

Sounds reasonable. Why would you update your website with those models if you're not planning to sell them right? But with all this Genesis debacle anything could happens. Lol

According to the Genesis website, the closest dealer to Houston is Lafayette, LA? How is that possible? Is their site just effed?

Here in OC Southern California the closest Dealers are Yuma Arizona, Henderson and Las Vegas Nevada, per the Genesis web-site this morning. Nothing in Ca., yet. 250+ miles away..

No that is correct. No licensing/franchising has been completed for Texas. Actually for 36 different states.

My local dealer here in Alabama just got on the list yesterday and has a few cars inbound!

I guess I thought that existing dealers would still show up until this transition took place completely.

I think we're getting a hint at the behind-the-scenes, and for some dealers, it's two steps back ["off the list"] before it's a step forward...

They used to but since the website was updated for 2019 only those show in the locator. There is a link on the bottom to click for 2018 inventory and dealers.

I think we now are starting to see their strategy get implemented.

Yes, I think you are correct. They are moving along and hopefully more states will finalize the situation.

Interesting. Thanks!

To add...I found a bug...LOL. Build your G70...and on the last summary page it shows dealer info. Well...it uses the old system...meaning it shows all the Hyundai/Genesis dealers from before this last update.

Aaaannnddd...nevermind. They fixed it. It was there last night. Love they way they push buggy code to production...then fix things along the way. Wish I could do that at my work. LOL. Well...maybe not.
