  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

MN has one dealer listed as Genesis of Bloomington in the twin cities, though nothing shows up in their inventory as of yet. I'm just glad I have a dealer 5 minutes away from me.

I noticed that last night. When looking to see if Iowa had any dealers that one in MN came up.

I bought a sonata from Stew Hansen in Des Moines awhile back, I'm curious if they'll become a Genesis dealership.

As of last night there were no Genesis dealers in Iowa, one of 36 states like that. Hopefully that will be changing continually as franchises and licenses are approved.

FYI, Wilkins Hyundai in Elmhurst IL said that they got a few G70 today. Not sure about the details or any other dealers yet.

Thanks. It seems to take a day or so for processing until they show up on the inventory and/or external web sites so we will keep an eye out.

That’s great news! Only about a 40 minute drive from me. I’m sure they won’t have the 6MT I’m looking for, but I can hopefully at least determine if it’s worth waiting for. Thanks for the heads up, Brock.

Has any 6MT's shown up at any dealers yet? I haven't run across any but not looking closely at the inventory when I look for dealer names/locations.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
No. Not any listed on cars.com anyway.

If all goes like it looks it will, we should see sort of a rush of new dealers and some states in the next few weeks, hopefully there will be some out then. Also as dealers sell cars they will be able to then request specific models for their allotments. Since it would seem the 6MT will have a fairly small take rate, they may not be part of standard allocations but rather on a special request basis. Hopefully that dealer will be able to help you find out how to get one.

My local dealer in Dublin, CA isn't even named correctly yet. Someone posted that all authorized dealers must be named "Genesis of XXXXX" This dealer is still named as "Dublin Genesis", so that tells me they're a ways off from being an official licensed Genesis dealer for 2019 models. But they do have the G70 on the site, so it's likely in the works.

That was me.

All dealers have to conform to that convention.

Existing dealers have a timetable to change their name.

I bet they become Genesis of Dublin.

Finally, my dealer. Genesis of West Columbia SC (2019 Genesis G70 Sedan | Columbia) is showing 2019 models with model details. No inventory, yet.
Additionally, Genesis of Hilton Head SC, same automotive group, Peacock Automotive, ( Genesis Dealership Hardeeville SC | Genesis of Hilton Head) has 3 G70's, 1 G80, 1 G90 in stock. No markup. South Carolina, Genesis USA, and the dealerships have finally got their act together

Despite the delay, one of the few positive things to have come out of all the mess is that SC gets a couple of Genesis dealerships; under the old 100 dealership plan, there weren't going to be any.

Obviously, there are some low quality Hyundai dealers who are doing a bad job selling and servicing Genesis. We’ve had our own bad service experience with a new Hyundai/Genesis dealer who’s recently opened very near us. Took our G90 to them for service and they curbed a wheel. They didn’t say a word, just crudely sprayed the wheel with non-matching silver paint and returned the car, hoping we wouldn’t notice. I later found out that they had NO Genesis certified technicians. There were other problems as well that we eventually managed to get resolved. Bad dealer.

However, there are also good Genesis dealers. Some very good. mind.

That's the downside of Hyundai opening up Genesis to all dealerships, instead of being able to filter out the ones w/ poor service/sales.

The dude obviously paid MSRP and didn't want to get clowned on by the group. When I pay MSRP because I need a new car by year's end I'll take the beating but I won't care because I'll be driving the car before most everyone else. Phoenix dealer called again today as they are getting 3 shipments within the next few weeks.

Exactly! Of course, he tried to turn it around by stating that I was calling him stupid and telling him he shouldn't be posting here...and I never said either thing. Clearly, he paid MSRP, or more...

Or he made the whole thing up for attention, or works for the dealer in question. This is the internet, after all. :)

Fully agree. Peacock Automotive Group is an established dealer group in the SE and with Genesis dealers in Hilton Head and Columbia SC will provide the Genesis experience. They offer multiple brands, including other luxury manufacturers, and a demonstrated level of service and sales volume.
