  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Beef's G70

Is that $2500 cash back limited to leasing only?

What difference does it make. You can always lease, get the incentive and buy out with cash or other financing. I have done that, it works.

Just to be safe though, check the contract beforehand since some manufactures charge a buyout/early term fee.

In this case when you say use other financing, you mean you won't be able to use the manufacturer's financing, right? Usually manufacturer financing has better interest rates or those incentives. That sounds like a downside to be aware of with this option. Sure there aren't any financing incentives yet, but I'm sure they'll be here soon.

There is likely a $250 end of lease fee but that’s small compared to the savings.

You should be able to do as well refinancing through your credit union.

Congrats Beefer. I know you have done a lot of work to get the car you wanted. Most people would probably have quit long ago lol. Be sure to post pics when you get it!

What the hell! where is the car? :closed:

:spoton:

Hopefully 2 weeks. Praying for some good luck to have it within one:)

Congrats bud! .....put some money on the side and get the tune asap! haha!

Congratulations man!! It was a hard fought battle but you continued and you got what you wanted. I’m extremely happy for you and I can wait to see photos of it!!

You did say you were leasing? Exhaust? Modification on a lease?
When you lease...at the end...car is returned stock.

Done it many times. I put back original exhaust...sell other on Craigslist.

To add...leasing is great. Accident? No problem...insurance covers it...just get it fixed. No worries on CarFax...you don’t have to sell it.

Just don’t paint your car a different color...hahahaha.

To restate...car has to look the same at the end of the lease. What ever happens in your possession is your problem (or no problem at all).

With my low miles...I’ll never buy again. Perhaps when I’m old and don’t give a fvck about cars anymore...LOL.

So the plan now was to get that car to me. The closest dealer to me that has already sold G70’s (thus acquiring points/credits for new allocations) was Alexandria. Safford in Springfield, VA was about 15 miles closer…but they just got a few G70’s and haven’t sold any…so no upcoming allocations.

Yeah, if anyone is looking to buy a G70, that's the place to go. I was there today picking up my 2019 G80 Sport and saw all of the G70s on the lot and in the showroom. They have a total of 5, in all different colors, including one that is a Black Forest Green Design Special Edition.

Unless you want the Sport in AWD :(

Proof! There are some good Genesis dealers out there. Just not enough of them yet.
Should be a nice experience when done.

Interestingly, I had the exact opposite impression of Genesis of Alexandria. In fact, of all the out of area dealerships I interacted with, Alexandria was by far the worst. I felt like I was dealing with a stereotypical used car salesman and dealership.

How is the new ride? Everything you were hoping it to be?

This is Beefer's thread (BTW, congrats on getting exactly what you wanted, Beefer!), so I don't want to go off on a tangent about my G80. I'll discuss it in another thread once I get home. But thanks for asking.
