  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

I got $1k off of MSRP as well. Plus conquest and $2,500 lease cash back. So total of $4,500 below MSRP. But I got the Sport AWD...so percentage wise you got more off of MSRP.

I would run with it !!! Several #1 awards popped up in the past 3 days. People will notice....and I doubt you will get more off. In the grand scheme of things...what's another grand or 2 for a hot f'ing car.

I saw that 2500 off. I'm debating leasing vs buying. We're you dead set on leasing?

I do super low miles...like under 5k per year... so yeah. Plus...my wife writes the lease off on her business. Buying would be utter stupidity.

Unless you wanted to keep it for 10+ years. You would have a 10yr old car that was barely broken in mileage wise. :spoton:

I could buy and resell at the end and make a profit...which I’ll probably do. Wouldn’t own it out of warranty.

Small dealer discount and conquest; yeah, it's looking favorable to me now. I test drove an Audi A5 4 cylinder sportback that would price about $51K and liked, but didn't love it. The G70 Prestige with the more powerful V6T and long list of standard features is looking like a more fun car for the price. I just have to figure out how to live with the tight trunk space. My local dealer says they're getting G70s late January, so I'll give it a 2nd look then.

How tight is tight? Have you seen it? Not that bad.

Want me to take a pic with golf clubs and/or luggage? Just let me know.

My bag is not a cart bag...but carry.

Ok; good to hear. Trunk space is a compromise, but there are too many other good things about the car to write it off. The competition isn't anywhere close for the price.

Seriously...tell me what you want...I’ll take pictures with different bags and clubs.

Did you have to pay that stupid document processing fee? It's 300 dollars and they don't want to budge on it.

Thanks. I'm going to lease. S of course they try to hit me with a 300 dollar document processing fee that is non negotiable and they don't want to budge in it. It seems so petty but it's basically taking my 1K discount and making it a 700 dollar discount. Did you have to pay that?

I paid all the fees. I knew I was getting a hot car. A grand here or there did not change my mind. I knew I was not being had...just did it.

A grand or two either way does not make a difference...be real!!!!

That's nothing compare with the $799- $999 we have to pay here in South Florida in dealer fees. You are lucky.

Actually, a pic of the trunk area with a tape measure (width, length, height) would be really helpful. Specs are sometimes misleading.

Believe me I am paying delivery. Acquisition. And also the document fees. It's not just 300 dollars. That was just the 300 that I felt was a b.s. fee.

We pay way more. We pay, delivery, Adquisition and title transfer, then depending the dealer between $699 thru $999 in dealer doc fees. Just take a look at the dealer fees comparison between states. Florida is the highest in the country.

It is like organized crime. As long as all the dealers stick with it, they can all get away with it. You think you got a good price, then BAM!, here is a list of fees. Of course, if they eliminated those fees, the deal would not be as good. You don't get out the door if they are not making profit one way or another.

Completely agree. They not just make money with the car price but with the manufacturer selling incentives to them and on top of that, they get $999 for each car they sell whatever the price is. For sure is organized crime.

The tape measure itself is 2" wide...so add that to the measurements.

To my fellow Canadians...not sure if you can tell...but the last photo shows where I bought the tape measure...35 years ago !!! My dad bought it...not me :)

But its one of them foreign cars. Don't you need a metric tape measure?

The trunk is wide and deep, especially with the folding seats. But it's not that tall compared to economy sedans; not sure how it compares to other luxury compacts. It's tall enough for suitcases, but if you have something irregular like assembled furniture or boxes, you'll probably start having problems. Some tall objects you can just try putting in the backseat though.

I'm comparing the useable space to my S4 and it's closer than I thought, except (as Kusa mentioned), the height. So, the lower cubic measurement spec is from the 3" height reduction compared to the Audi. But that's the least important measurement to me, because my gear has plenty of head room in the trunk.

So, thanks for the pictures! I can use this car after all. Hopefully, I can install a hitch mount for my road bike when summer comes.
