  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

And very soon everyone will be talking 2020s lol

What dealer? I know I want the car but I'm waiting patiently for a closer dealer to be announced for my service needs (dont care for valet service 100 miles each way). And I probably will not purchase unless I can get very close or if not more than 10% discount no lease purchase.
I would like to get that discount. I'm planning to lease by the end of February or March but availability is hurting my "possible discount" There is no car for sale in my state yet, the longer it takes to have them in stock the worst my deal could be.

You don’t want that car anyway...even with 100 miles. You can only assume folks have driven the freaking piss out of it. Not properly broken in, etc.

Move on.

That's why I asked what dealer because I probably drove it. Lol

After how many miles on a demo vehicle should a buyer see a discount? I am looking at a AWD Sport with 1500 miles on it. Also, I have been to 3 different dealerships and having purchased multiple cars in the past, Genesis/Hyundai is missing the "luxury" car buying experience.
You should see a discount after 50 miles, IMO, it it was a demo. The only question is how much? At 1500 miles and maybe 30 drivers, it should be at least 10%, maybe 15%.

All G70’s should have ~30 miles to begin with. Genesis requires 2 dealer test runs to ensure all is good. Then tack on factory/port movement.

So 50 miles is pushing it. Assume a proper test drive is at least 10 miles.

Just the conquest rebate and the $2500 lease cash.

That doesn't make sense at all. You can get one that doesn't have that mileage on for the same price. Probably best to stay away from that car and that dealer if possible.

Here the sales agreement sales sold as new with no more than 200km.
I'm assuming some is to do with transportation, taking it for tints, gas, and the delivery distance if we refuse the open trailer!

I have seen cars with 6 miles. I say $1 a mile at least additional $1500 off

Agreed. I was even interested in buying a 2nd car (Santa Fe). I will take my business elsewhere if they aren't going to discount the car more.

I'm sure they have a fine print of what constitutes as a new car when sold and it is probably anywhere from 0 to some other reasonable mileage as long as it wasn't used as a demo.

My understanding is that demo cars are considered new. Whether it is new or not has to do with whether the car has been tilted or not.

Maybe different there. Demo is demo here and sold cheaper. Demo warranty starts when it went on the road hence the new owner only gets the remainder of the warranty.
There are a few demo vehicles here that have been available for sale for months. Their financing rate was 3.24% vs 1.9% for new.

Yes, it is different here. What warranty comes with the car does not determine whether it is used or not. Here used means previously registered and the dealers don't register the demo cars, they just use the dealer plates. As far as the warranty is concerned, it depends on the manufacture. Most start the warranty on the in-service date as a demo while others may wait until the car is sold to the consumer. Some argue that federal law prohibits them not giving the first purchaser of the car the benefits of the full warranties, don't know whether that has ever been ruled on in court. There have been some class action suits concerning warranties on demo cars but am not aware if anything at the Fed level.

If you’ve seen a 2019 Genesis with 6 miles...stay away. That means the dealer has not followed Genesis USA protocol.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Audi is aggressive with '19 S4s right now. I'm looking at $3250 finance bonus cash and loyalty before dealer discounts. There's no way I'm paying MSRP for a G70.
You’d have to get a Prestige to match all the G70 has. You’ll still lack ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive headlights and 3-year maintenance plan.

Enjoy.

Actually just have to fork over even more money, get the warm weather package, cold weather package and Audi care. I don't think adaptive headlights are available though. Then again, you do get virtual cockpit which many people like.

Really can't make it a cost comparison and have the Audi come out on top of the G70 even with some discounts. Like anything, it is more of a personal taste decision than an objective one.
