That's exactly what I've done with the past two Genesis. My 15 was $48000 with 11000Km.

I bought my 2016 3.8 AWD Luxury @ 1 1/2 years old a year ago with 10900 kilometers for $31000 all in . I have balance of Factory 5 year/100000 Kilometer warranty to August 2021.

Where can you safely drive at 55? Maybe on a back road, but on the highway it would get you killed. Most highway is 70 to 80 just keeping with traffic.

Country backroads. The speed limit is lower there.

Not everyone drives 100% highway. Some of us live in smaller towns or mid-sized cities.

A recent journey (180miles/rnd trip) I managed 28.4 (!!) mpg on my RWD V8. I can live with that....

Same - had a similar situation. Just went on a road trip.

I tried with my Genesis at 114 km/h (about 71 mph) on the cruise control (AWD 5.0) on the highway - very few decelerations luckily this time due to no traffic.

I don't have the pictures, but I got 8.7L / 100 km, which is about 27 mpg. That's about what we would expect because the HTRAC will cost you about 1-2 mpg.

The issue is that you really have to be consistent in your speed and have no traffic jams. The adaptive cruise control can help.

The highway tested was the Ontario 401 in my case. What speed were you going)

However, it is 420hp V8, so what is the point of trying to drive it like a elderly person just to save some gas.

If it’s not to save gas, it’s so everyone has the chance to see the car
