  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

Hi guys, new member here - any thoughts on this lease deal for the G70 2.0T Advance Awd (base) for 36 months. The numbers are inclusive of all taxes(10% of monthly lease)+fees etc. My wife really loves the car, so any advice is greatly welcome!

RV is low at 51% for 10k miles and 50% for 12k. Thanks in advance.

On the surface it seems okay, I think. The 'ideal lease' is around 1% of MSRP at most with 0 down. Hard to achieve on newer models, but it provides a decent rule of thumb.

You seem to be looking at ~9% off MSRP, which is pretty par for the course, I haven't seen most people do better than that.

What's the MF they're quoting you?
If I had to guess, you're looking at a MF near .012 (~2.9% APR). I don't know what state you're in, but I have seen promotional MFs go down to .00004 (.1% APR). That would put you around 440/mo if you qualify.

Look for your zip here: 2019 Genesis G70 Lease Deals and Prices - Page 13

I punched in the numbers here for you to play with:
leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Genesis&msrp=38165&sales_price=36538&months=36&mf=.0012&dp=0&doc_fee=299&acq_fee=750&taxed_inc=3500&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=51&reg_fee=400&sales_tax=10&memo=&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles=10000&msd=0

I'm doing 608/mo in Los Angeles for a 50k Design Edition, so I think you have some room for improvement. Then again, it is about 1.2x the MSRP and 1.2x the payment so I could just be blowing smoke out my ass. IDK

Thank you - generally, most people seem to think it is not a good deal but at the same time I'm having a difficult time finding anything better - maybe just a bad time of the year to buy? Overall, the selling price of the car is 35538 w/rebate out of msrp of 38165 (around 9% off as you stated) before tax/fees etc.

^ You are getting a fantastic deal...trust me.

- hot new car
- winning just about every single award out there
- dealers know they got a hot one...no reason to lose money
- not many out there...so you will be unique...and stared at like a celebrity :)

I got about the same % off...and could not be happier.

Thanks for the positive vibe! Yes we feel really good about the car :) car buying has been very daunting but the dealership has been A+.

That's good, not everyone here has had a good experience with their local dealership. Seems like they're hit or miss.

Hey Guys, so I got a quote from one dealer. I asked for 4 different trims and here is the summary.
Any thoughts? Savings include conquest offer and lease cash. Seems like fair deal to me.

You may want to verify the MF, looks like they may be marking it up. The RV seems a little low also but dealers usually don't fool around with them. You may want to create an account on Edmunds and ask for the MF and RV for the trim you want just to verify.

I checked the forum and seems like MF should be .00009 not .00049. Thanks!
So can I always ask them for base MF?

Yes, as long as you have decent credit you should be able to get the base MF. They may try to redo all of the numbers and not give you as big a discount but stick to your guns and hopefully you just get a lower MF. Let us know how it turns out.

Unless I'm mistaken, I had a quote for an RV of 51% at the lowest on a 15k mile lease for a 3.3t Sport

Finally got mine today, would like to give a huge thanks to r_spec for getting me Circle A pricing and Soma for giving me some tips on the dealers I was talking too. Thanks everyone on this forum for posting and sharing information.

So I got the base model 2.0t g70 RWD - Black/Black
MSRP: $36,090
Circle A Price: $33,234
Rebates: $5400 ($1000 Competitive Owner, $400 College Grad, $4000 Lease Cash - Did they change this last night? I thought it would have been $2750 for May)
I put 3k down and my payment is $291/mo + tax.

I live in OC but I used Bob Baker Hyundai in San Diego and I HIGHLY recommend them. Talk to the internet sales manager, He used base money factor from the start (.00001) and had way less dealer bullshit addons than competitors ($500 Lo-Jack vs $1300 and $1100 at other dealers).

Awesome deal - definitely beats what I paid for mine - they had no acquisition fee? Would have loved to see their quote for the AWD 2.0t base - that's what I ended up getting ( for a lot more :)

I'm not sure it may look like that but something (or things) they added put another 1.2k on the purchase

Circle A was 33,234
Gross Cap was 34,479
I'll look through the paperwork when I get home too see what it was.

Edit: Was $495 for lo jack and a $750 acquisition fee. Dodged the $988 bank fee another dealer had that was "Non-negotiable" apparently.
