  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

Still working on it today. My local dealer which has no cars on the lot is at $572. La quinta dealer is at $576 but again has to get the car and the last dealer which has the car on the lot wants $597 and won't deal.

Are you around Riverside area or more west? There's tons of vehicles around LA/OC if you want to make the drive

Generally negotiating by using the monthly payment is not the best way. Just to make sure all of them are in the up and up and the comparisons are valid, they should be providing you will the following:

1. MSRP
2. Agreed upon sales price before incentives
3. Any non-lease incentives such as conquest, loyalty, etc.
4. Any lease cash
5. Money Factor
6. Residual value
7. Fees (acquisition, doc, reg, etc.)
8. Sales tax rate
9. Monthly Payment
10. Total amount due at signing

I am waiting for one off the boat on this configuration right now. Supposed to be here May 28. I know where one is at a dealer that will not work with anyone If that helps. Lol. Exact configuration!!

Wow, I'm surprised these cars are selling out so fast. The ones I'm looking at in my locale have been sitting on the lot for 6 and 2 weeks, respectively, and both dealers have healthy inventory.

Rspec boosting sales. I get mine next week. On the boat. Estimated 5/28.

So...this was disappointing.

MSRP= 50,645
Circle A Price= 46,550.00
Lease cash= NONE
Incentives= NONE
Money Factor=0.00180 (!)
Residual= 50%
Fees= 684.00
Down Pymt= 3000
MONTHLY (incl/9.5% tax)=785.43
Due at signing =3000.00

I felt a little sick.

It is too bad they decided not to give you any incentives. If you can't change their mind you are probably better off walking and trying some more dealers since many seem to honor Genesis incentives as well as Circle A.

As I am currently doing the same thing looking for cars that is a terrible deal and there are very good deals out there time to MoveOn

Since the incentives are coming from the manufacturer its just simple greed. I read somewhere that the dealer gets kickbacks on Circle pricing too, so assuming that's the case, they're just scumbags and are not at all deserving of your business.

[/QUOTE do you have loyalty or conquest?

They wouldn't allow that either.

So I have approached several dealers and they are allowing circle A conquest and lease cash. My lease numbers are zero down and about 575 a month for 36 months. Still need to find the right car.

So WALK. Send an email to the GM of the dealership, cc Genesis corporate, and tell them that their aberrant business practices have pushed you at least towards another dealer and you are reconsidering the brand in general because of your experience. That's the only way this kind of crap is going to change.

There are dozens and dozens of dealers (like mine in NJ) that accept Circle A and stack incentives on top with absolutely no hassle or negotiation. The fact that business practices can vary so much from one dealer to the next on something as basic as this is absurd. If I was the CEO of Genesis/Hyundai and read this thread my head would explode.

This is what I did. Crap local dealer wouldn’t budge. 30 mins later dealer 150 miles away stacks all the incentives on circle a. Plus taking my existing one back 3 months early on genesis offer. Move to another dealer!!!
