  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Well, I finally got my G70. i've been wanting one since i first saw the straight pipes' video on youtube back in June last year. the time finally came...
i got a 3.3T RWD Elite in Adriatic Blue. I used the circle pricing certificate that r_spec was kind enough to furnish to me to get them to come down on one they had on the lot.

sticker was $46,690 and the "total selling price" was $43,476. after factoring my POS trade-in in and TTL, as well as a $250 rebate i somehow qualified for, my actual out the door was $45,564. which, according to my feverish calculations comes out to a discount of ~7.5% off all other things being equal, but paying MSRP.

i bought it from Genesis of Spring (their website is North Freeway Genesis, so not sure if they are set on a name yet) north of Houston. the sales guy was super straightforward and very easy to deal with. this was overall a very UN-stressful car buying experience. so i can recommend Reggie if you happen to go by that dealership. as further evidence, i accidentally forgot my garage door opener and radar detector windshield mount in my trade-in, and since his mother lived near me, he personally delivered them to my house later that evening to save me a trip to the dealership. i thought that was pretty decent of him.

here are a couple pics. not sure if i post them as thumbnails you can also see full resolution. attempt #1.

Welcome to the AB club! These pictures are actually making me a a bit jealous because of how good the 10-spokes and (non-dark) chrome look on it! Now get some tints on there and drive it like you stole it :drive:

Thanks! It's always satisfying to inspire a little jealousy. :p Tint is coming soon.

I think the dark chrome on AB looks smoother and more aggressive than the normal chrome. Not that the normal chrome looks bad since the brightness to dark color contrast is nice, but you shouldn't have any reason to be jealous imo!

Pics or it didnt happen

Again, I know this is a G70 thread, but the help we got from this group really helped in getting our car!
Our G80 arrived yesterday afternoon!

They definitely have some really nice little touches on the G80 Sport. Also, I swear the dark chrome is even darker on that thing than ours.

Either way, good choice! Got yourself a good looking car, both inside and out.

That is a pair of Sweet Cars!

Great looking car! Really pops in that red. I honestly wouldn't have been mad if they just took the G80 Sport and scaled down the size of everything to reach G70 proportions. As I've said somewhere before, it's such a shame that the G70 Sport isn't as differentiated from the other G70 packages as the G80 Sport is to the 5.0 and 3.8.

Now they have a sport package available on the 3.8 as well. To me it lessens that "special" factor the 3.3T sport has as far as looks go. There's very little to differentiate between the two except for exhaust pipes and the 3.3T badge.

I agree, but it still has the outward look of an elevated package, right? I'd be just as happy if both the 2.0t Sport and 3.3t Sport had some exterior styling (read "Quad exhaust tips") to just make a little more difference than just wheels and darker chrome

We could have easily taken the 3.8 with the Sport package...except for the fact that the Heads-Up Display would have been deleted! So we were "forced" into getting the 3.3T;)

3.3T is a far superior engine. Having had both you will enjoy it’s rocket ship qualities

I do agree on that! Our 2016 was a very enjoyable car...but the 2019 IS a Rocketship!

I completely agree. Definitely wish there were some more significant visual cues to set the Sport trim apart.

That being said, I really do prefer the spindle grille of the Sport G80. I've thought about buying the conversion kit for mine, prepared for any upbadge slutshaming that comes with it. But it's $3000 for the kit, so eh...

I have over 10 posts now but still can't message R_spec directly. R_Spec, are you able to message me? I would love to have the Circle pricing to shop for my car this weekend. Thank you!
