  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis G70 Reviews

Pretty sure the 2020 Prestige adds a lot more than the 2019 Dynamic. 2019 Dynamic was a barebones 3.3TT.
Last year's Dynamic didn't have 360 camera, Nappa, front parking sensors, staggered 19" wheels, adaptive headlights, HUD, wireless charging pad, and power thigh extension which the 2.0T Prestige had.
It was the equivalent of the US Elite 3.3T. Or at least it was most close to the Elite that we have.

Same here. Still on the Canadian site cause I guess they still have a few unsold.

^ you’re right. The MY ‘19 3.3T dynamic was based off the 2.0 Elite. Not the 2.0 Prestige. But now for MY ‘20 the 3.3 Prestige is based off the 2.0 Prestige which used to be $5k more than the 2.0 Elite. So the 3.3 Prestige is a better deal at $4k more than the MY ‘19 3.3 Dynamic. Regardless, i’d still fork over $2k more for the Sport and all its goodies.

If only the Sport was available in Caramel Brown leather....

So...I’ll be the first to admit after seeing it. The brown leather is slightly darker than “Ferrari” brown. freaking hot to say the least!!

YESSSS AND IF ONLY WE HAD IT IN THE US ON ANY TRIM 😩

TFLNow review - 3.3TT Sport

Think Nathan goes a bit too far about the interior (it's nice, but could use some improvement, including design).

But he covers the 3 most oft repeated flaws - tight rear leg/foot and head room, smaller trunk than competitors and the same UI as Hyundai (could also use a larger screen - smaller Hyundais and Kias now are available w/ q 10.25" screen).

Another thing would add is the weight w/ respect to its size.

Not much one can do about that or the space issue 'til the next gen model, but the larger screen and UI should be added for the G70's refresh (doubt Genesis would do both a comprehensive facelift of both the sheetmetal and interior, so likely only getting the new Genesis design language for the exterior.

One thing about the smaller trunk space is that a full hybrid system would further compromise the space capacity (so a smaller capacity 48V battery system would be best).

I like these guys but only for offroad SUV and Crossover reviews.

The Aussies really like the G70

Interesting how some reviewers say the G70 has better steering and ride than the new 3 series, while others say the opposite. I suppose this means they're basically neck and neck in that area.

Either way, I think this was a good review! Thanks for posting it!

How in the world does an IS 350 take 5.9 secs to get to 100kmh?
Also the Aussies have this thing about cars not tuned properly for their roads and they go through an "Australian tuning" before they are sold. So I wouldn't take their word for it.
They are not driving the same car as we do.

That's a really good point about the Aussie specific suspension setup.

They do it to most imports. It's stupid. One of my Australian friends told me that it is just an excuse to create jobs and protect their auto industry. 🤣
Also even with the conversion rate, they pay ridiculous money for their cars!

Ah, I noticed that...very interesting. They must've screwed it up, then. Haha.

I think that's about right.. it's never been a blisteringly fast vehicle. Here is Car and Driver only pulling a 6.0 and this is to 60mph: 2017 Lexus IS350 F Sport RWD

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You could fall asleep with the gas pedal pinned to the ground in an IS350 (F Sport RWD).
Maybe it's so they can sell their other performance oriented cars. Either way someone needs to fix that

When the IS350 first came on the scene with the then brand-new 3.5 around the 2005-2006 timeframe, I could have sworn 0-60 times were in the mid-5s? I remember kicking myself because I'd just bought an Acura TL the year before.

Here, found an old article:
