Getting familiar with the group...
Tested a 4.6 sedan today. I came away pretty impressed! Lots of power with the V8 and a really nice interior. For the last four years (lease is up soon) I have really enjoyed my Infiniti M35X. Today I found the Genesis much faster (VS my 3.5L) than my car and very tight steering. I did not get a chance to try any hard cornering but it really drove nice.
The interior was VERY impressive and different. Most companies have the shiny wood across the dash and doors. Hyundai chooses to use leather instead. Unusual in a cool way.
Certainly more of a sport sedan than a MB E-class. I think the E-class is the most beautiful sedan out there right now but the 6 cylinder is pretty gutless around town. The 8 cylinder (loaded) is $79,000.00 VS $51,00.00 for the Genesis. As a guy I am attracted to pretty. But not to the tune of $30,000.00.
(All prices in Canadian dollars)
Only bad experience was that my ipod wouldn't initiate? I had Hyundai logo on my ipod but it wouldn't hook up and play?
I am testing driving every car in my town between $50,000.00 and $70,000.00. Your genesis was very impressive and is high on my list!

PS: Four years ago I went looking to buy (lease) a BMW 5 series. I got an Infiniti which did it all the same for $15,000.00 less. No status or cachet, but a HELL of a deal! Maybe the Hyundai will end up doing the same thing this time to Infiniti. Only downside (to me) is no AWD, living in the great white north.
