Yeah I don't quite remember what it was before but this symbol is cool yet unnecessary!

Yeah looks familiar. I know it shows 3G or LTE briefly before just the bars. I didn't really notice the antenna. The new symbol is a different colour so it is more obvious.
Wonder if there are any extra services offered!
Engineering mode is asking for a PIN code now. So they locked it down. Voice search button on the rearview mirror is recognising weird street names better and results are faster!

Yep, the old UI showed 2 signal strengths and the phone battery meter. Now just the Genesis Signal and Bluetooth connection-types.

I miss the old battery meter.

That's how much attention I pay to it. I totally forgot that there used to be a battery meter.
I do like the splash of colour with the new symbol though!
I also noticed the Pop-up Notification for text is a bit different. There was an option for Privacy Mode!

What I noticed the most is that now on the map screen when you are approaching to an important road intersection appears an image on the bottom corresponding with the lanes for continuing or turning.

Thanks. Just wrote Genesis a compelling note as to why they should get on the stick if they want to play in the Big Boys' compact luxury sedan market.

Perhaps a stupid question but can the update be done while driving or do I really need to leave my car idling in the driveway for 35 or 40 minutes while the update is taking place.?

Yes. The radio will not work the back up camera will not work, but you can drive like it is 1960 again. Suddenly the music will come on and you know it is done.
