  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We can't really determine that without a lot more information such as MSRP, discount, fees, taxes, etc. Bypassing all of that though, are you happy and comfortable with the deal and what the payments will be (assuming you are financing)? If so then maybe just go for it and not worry if you possibly leaving a bit extra on the table. If not, post all of that info and I'm sure folks will have an opinion on it.

MSRP was about $43000
OTD $38700 includes tax and title.

Looks like you are getting a fairly healthy discount. Since you seem to be in Michigan you may be getting the employee pricing, if that is still available. On thing you may want to look into is trying to get a Circle A pricing certificate (do some reading in this thread and the lease thread) so you can take advantage of the lease cash. You may be better in the long run to lease and then purchase. Good luck either way.

Thank you so much for the info!

I’m being told circle A pricing is not yet eligible for 2020 models. If I’m lucky my dealer is telling me what I want is in their allocation coming mid November. I need at least some lease incentives, hopefully a competitor discount still for Infiniti and the Circle A pricing to make a deal work. If the G70 I want does show up next month I may be on hold until circle A comes on board.

Hopefully it will be soon, perhaps at the start of next month. The lease incentives are a lot more than I thought they would be for 2020 so at least you will have that and the conquest should you need to get one before the Circle A becomes available.

Earlier this month, the lease incentives for 2020s were about $1000 less than the 2019s. But for the 2.0T, at some point the 2019s got an additional $1000 dealer cash. So with a lease on the 2.0T, the 2019s are $6000 off total and the 2020s are $4000 off total. Even if the 2020s are good incentives to start, the 2019s seem to be getting even better.

Speaking of $1000 dealer cash, would they incentive be usable with the Circle A plan? Just want to confirm.

I think with circle A pricing, incentives have been eligible, but some members have reported dealers not wanting to honor that so some education to the dealer may be in order at times. I’ll be in that same boat in a month or so, until the pen starts to hit the paper with the dealer, who knows what each will actually do?

My salesman was honest and said he knew nothing about circle A. Looked completely believable when he said it. He looked at my paper uncomprehendingly. The sales manager, who nails the deal, knew of it.

Any confirmation on whether r_spec is still helping with circle a certificates?

So what can you get a 2019 2.0 awd elite for now that the 2020 are dropping?

That's the million dollar question. Straight answer, whatever you are able to negotiate with the dealer after all incentives and rebates.
In this particular case when a new MY arrive to the lots, manufacturers and dealers tend to do heavy discounts giving more incentives and rebates on the old MY and certainly they will be able to discount even more, but there is no magical number for what you can get.

Piecing together bit of info plus a little analysis & guesswork... I think 7-10% below MSRP could be a reasonable goal.

Interesting to note discounts except for 3.3 Sport.

Considering there's not much new to the 2020 3.3t Sport and the price actually goes up for it, I would say they won't have much of an issue selling the 2019's before the turn of the year
