If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Loaners...This looks bad

That's where I got my 2020 Genesis 3.3T Prestige this past Saturday. Definitely was your run of the mill sales department look, a bit cramped actually. Genesis desperately needs to separate and set their own shops up.
Cool! I dealt with Jeffrey Fore as my salesperson. I agree, the place is a bit small and I felt I was buying a Hyundai instead of a luxury car but the service is pretty good considering there is no separate Genesis dealer/service yet...

I totally agree about the service. I worked with Chuck and he got me a decent deal. I felt the same way, it didn't feel like i was working with someone who was super confident about all the features of the Genesis.

Last week I booked a Valet Service for the required maintenance for today at 8:30 AM. I made the appointment personally at my delaer. Yesterday I got a call from them with a remainder. Not to my surprise, nobody showed today! I've been dealing with Genesis for so long to know that at least in South Florida the "dealer experience" is BS. Genesis USA has to do something about this or they will lose hundreds of customers just because the fu**ing dealer network is not able to be on par with the "luxury brand appealing" Genesis wants to sell to the general public.

After all the problems you have read here you still chose to use the online scheduling instead of talking to someone on the phone? Just testing it out? This should be a lesson to everyone, DO NOT USE THE ONLINE SCHEDULER for valet. That is unless you are fully prepared to be disappointed, in which case it will meet your expectations.

???

That day I was in a shopping center at just one block from the dealer, so I decided to go there in person to schedule the valet appointment.
Sorry about my mid-read. You did everything right. My response was incorrect. My apologies.

No prob. If they were able to fail that way, I think doing it by phone (with the dealer) the result would have be the same. It's a shame.

I get the feeling this is the Genesis/HYUNDAI dealers giving the finger to Genesis Corporate for trying to tell them what to do.

In the new GV80 launch streams they stress the re-iteration of customer service. Hell, the GV80 customers in Korea can choose what kind of perqs they want including flowers sent to them every month.

Let's see what this refocus does here in the States. *fingers crossed*

I didn't know that. Haha. That's awesome!

I genuinely feel bad for GMA, having to deal with our stupid dealer network in the USA. Bunch of greedy jerks. Too bad we can't cut out the middle man.

Which crappy South Florida dealer were you dealing with? I've had piss poor experiences trying to schedule service with both Braman and Kendall Genesis. I've given up any hope of ever having the valet service and have accepted the fact that I'm going to have to drive my car to the dealership to have it serviced. But the worst part is actually having to deal with the (lack of) service department of a mainstream (or even budget) car company and all that entails. I don't want to come across as a snob, but I got used to 20+ years of being treated as a valued customer by Maserati, Jaguar, and Mercedes dealerships, rather than just a number at Hyundai.

They should never have signed up to be a Genesis dealer. Genesis really needs to screen and audit / verify these dealerships for standards & compliance, and drop those that are non conforming.

Not at all. In Dallas TX there is a dealership chain called Sewell, and they are known for their top treatment of the customer.

They sell several lines and they put on an impressive show. They don't do valet service but they give you a free loaner - and the warm cookies and hot chocolate are awesome.

I've always felt special when I leave there. They're tv-ad sums it up well, a person saying "I don't know what my next car will be, but it will be a Sewell".

Treat a customer right and they will repeat. Never bought one from them yet but my next car will be from these guys. They have the best accessories

Why not it was easy money for them. Potential to turn a profit with no real investment.

Easy to say but not so easy in view of state laws and dealer lawsuits. It’s a process and I think that corporate is going through that. They had to offer franchises to HYUNDAI dealers and they can’t just turn around and disenfranchise them without due process.

Unfortunately Genesis cant do much and they told me that. The dealers dont care because they dont make much money selling them. Their bread and butter is Hyundai SUV sales. So, if someone doesnt want to buy a Genesis, no sweat off their backs.

Doral Genesis. I've had bad experiences with Kendall Genesis and Braman Genesis too.
Yesterday I called the Service Department to complain about the failed valet service. They didn't gave me any explanation just offered me another valet appointment. I refused and told them I would be dropping/waiting for my car to be serviced next week. I'm doing the maintenance with them because my car is a lease, if it were mine I would be using a third party shop or even doing the oil change myself. Fu**ing retarded dealers.
I wrote an email to GMA complaining, waiting their answer.

It would be some justice if Genesis blocked the shi%ty dealers from selling the GV80 which will, as C&D predicts, outsell all of the sedans combined. I would love for that to happen. It won't happen though but one can dream.

Still doesn't make sense why they would even bother becoming a dealer then. Instead of wasting time and inventory space, they could have had cash in hand. :wallbash:

I would love for this to happen. Starve them of the inventory they want until they straighten up their act or offer them a check after they suffer a bit to get them out of the network
