  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

Nice!

How full was your tank?
Topped off 😂. Well close to it. Over 7/8ths haha

edit: I was super impressed with this on map2. I have had better but for 91 this isn’t bad at all

Haha, sweet! I wonder if you'd notice any significant improvement with a 1/4 tank..!

I had a 1/4 when I ran the 4.40 on map 5 with a 12.44 1/4 mile. But I also aired down the tires for that lol
I was so upset when I hit that 12.44 and realized I was only on map5. I feel it might of had another 1/10th in her if I had it set to map7

I may be wrong about this but it almost seems like the more power you have, the more the ECU does torque limiting at launch. Then once you get past a certain speed the ECU allows the power to hit. A G70 with tune or jb4 should be so much quicker on a consistent basis vs stock.

That’s possible for sure. I’m also rwd so I’m super traction deficit lol

I bet you hit the nail right on the head. I assume not much luck with the 0-60 times on 91 octane?

Nope. It's -3c here now and will be -27c tomorrow. Too cold to push the car, so I filled it back up with 87 for now... darn winter :(

...although you could say I have the worlds best inter-cooler :grinlaugh:

Jeez that’s nuts. It’s 60F here today hah Already losing my boost weather lmao

Well... Tried out my Dragy for the first time today. Using JB4 Map 1.5 (custom map 6, but in-between maps 1 and 2).

1st run, LC, manually shifting 1-2, auto shift 2-3. W/passenger and 2 child car seats. Very rainy, windy.

Another attempt, exact same location, w/out passenger, manually shifting 1-3rd. But it says invalid, despite doing it in the exact same spot...

I don't get how the slope can change from 0% to -2.2%. The spot and run was exactly the same. Whatever.

Anyway, things I noticed. First, launch control is inconsistent. Sometimes the RPM's will build a little higher than others. Most of the time when launching you can feel the power being cut initially, then it allows full power. Second, shifts are TOTALLY inconsistent. Sometimes I'll get a perfect shift from 1st to 2nd when manually shifting (I click the paddle at about 5-5.2k), other times it will shift slowly, throttle plate closes and diverter valves whoosh (you wouldn't be able to hear that with the stock intake). I've noticed this ever since I installed the JB4, and I assume it's the culprit. I'm excited for a flash tune, should be able to get a much more aggressive start, and better shifts. When I finally decide on which tune to get I'll post a comparison.

Anyway, I'll try again when the weather is better. Most of my launches I could feel the rear wheels slip a little. So very rainy with standing water on the road.

Lastly, where do you guys mount your Dragy module?

4.47sec....dude, you almost had me!

Seriously .....why is that, the G70 ~700lb lighter than my G80 sport is almost impossible to beat my 4.42sec? it really should be ~4sec. with the same mods. I have yet to see it near 4.2 or less. Does the G70 launch that bad?

I toss my Dragy in a cup holder on top of my wallet.

Do you have your dragy to share? We could compare and see where the G70 falls behind, like 0-10

My draggy is out right next to my shifter in the open spot to the right. Then phone is in the cup holder. That’s a good number with a 1.5 custom map you have to me. I’m sure a little boostane or e30 and map 3 you will be rocking low 4.2 runs easy.
@dareckibmw that 4.42 is a good solid number. Took me and my rwd a bit to catch up to it. I think a 4.40 was the best I was able to grab and I had to air down my tires so I wouldn’t spin as bad lol

I Mount mine vertically on the drivers side door near the B pillar. Sticks really well. No movement

I tried that and it stuck really nicely there. I just don't want to use the adhesive plates anywhere and potentially damage any surfaces.

Do you mean use the plates there? Because it's metal, it just sticks hard with the magnets on the metal

I have not used the plates at all. I did try placing the Dragy on the window frame, definitely stays there nicely with the internal magnets since the frame is steel. I just worry that perhaps some of my inconsistencies are due to it not facing upwards? I don't want to use the adhesive plates at all.

Dang, your 0-10, 0-20, and 0-30 are all faster than mine. You're definitely launching harder than my car is!

Must be torque limiting. I wonder if you drop boost to stock at low rpm and ramp quick?

I kind of want to try it in Map 0, just to see what the differences are.
