That's impressive! I know I've said this before; it still blows my mind that these luxury sedans are as fast or faster than the 454 Chevelle's and the Hemi Cudas of the sixties, that couldn't handle or stop well, polluted the air and got 10MPG. We live in an amazing time! (They sounded better though )

Funny you should mention that. I thought about that so often now especially after seeing some of the results here. I’m blown away. Puts a whole new meaning to “Muscle Car”.

So I went back to the track for test n tune. They do a much better track prep. Results show that. I still had some wheel hop but also launching at 14 pounds of boost. Video coming later today

A buddy of mine is a huge muscle car fan and he finds it really hard to believe how fast the G70 3.3T is because it doesn't "feel" fast compared to muscle cars. I tried to explain that those old cars had terrible suspensions, bad tires, drive train slop out the ying yang, crappy transmissions etc and that is why they feel so fast as compared to the G70.

I agree with you. Never been in an old school muscle car but this car gets up to speed fast yet doesn't feel fast. Sometimes on the highway I'll just give it a little bit of gas and next thing you know I'm past 90.

Yup. I found some 18” wheels I wanna get to I can run Mickey Thompson et streets and hopefully eliminate the wheel hop then I got it.

If I use a calculator to adjust for sea level it says that could be a 11.57 run. If I’m not mistaken the current record is 11.53 on a track slip for the stingers.

So this is the log from my best pass so far. I am still using the burger burn out switch. I do a burnout to third gear. You can see I’m launching at 14 pounds of boost and at 2900 rpm

Ummm. It’s insane actually haha. Like being shot out of a cannon. Really fun. I think I was close to 1.5 Gs at launch

I think you may have the fastest G70 keep in mind folks we are running in high altitude.

Damn! I was there for 2 days shooting fighter jets at Nellis, if I knew, I'd stop by. We were standing on the shoulder somewhere by the gate 6-8
