  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

SPYSHOTS: The next generation of the Genesis G80 is here

The G80 top end model will have 20"s, the lower tier models will have 19's and 18's. Also the G80 will have the GV80's camera controlled adjustable suspension. This will maintain the ride quality.
Great info - thank you. Do you have any more details about the likely differentiation between model tiers?

Nope, its all guess work right now. But you can look to the GV80 for what the packages should look like. The model being shown is the top tier 3.5TT, I suspect the 2.5T will have 18's (or 19's) as the base set up.

Info leaked about the 2021 G80 mentions that it will have 20” wheels standard - vs current G80’s 18” wheel size. That seems like a big change. Should we be expecting a corresponding big change in ride quality, namely a much firmer ride, since there will be less tire height to absorb road bumps & shocks? Is this likely to change the whole character of the G80 as a smooth riding (in the American style) luxury sedan?

The change in the character of new G80 will mostly be from the lighter weight via the new, lightweight platform and use of aluminum for certain body panels.

The loss of weight should make the G80 seem sportier, but think Biermann will gear the G80 towards being a smooth-rider (taking into account the wheel size) w/ some athleticism, as it appears has been the case for the GV80.

Would surmise that a G80 w/ a stiffer suspension set-up would be reserved for a more performance-oriented variant down the road.

I posted a question (under the thread 2021 G80 Revealed) about all the (seemingly) orange lighting we see in the G80 teaser pics that were released recently. Wondering if the front, side, and rear lighting that we see really is orange colored, or are these more likely white LED strips that the photographs may have inaccurately reproduced to appear orange in color. And if really orange, what kind of lights are they (parking lamps, DRLs?) Could the G80 model shown in the photo be a version intended for sale outside North America, and therefore, perhaps, have different colored lighting?

They are white strips that turn YELLOW when signaling or have your flashers on..

This seems very interesting - and I hope I'm not "overthinking" this - but taking what you explained as accurate: 1) does this imply that all of the teaser photos, which appear to show lighting that is yellow or orange, (certainly not white), were taken at the exact moment when all the vehicle's lights were flashing yellow? and 2) does it also mean that we will see illuminated white DRLs as part of the tail light assembly? - or do the side and rear 2-line strips ONLY illuminate when signaling or when flashers are on, and will likely remain off (not illuminated at all) at all other times?
