@Slip_Angle are you still using your parking brake launch ?
I did for my most recent runs, yes.

Very nice. Did you do the gapped spark plugs too? I’d say give map 2 a few hits if you did cause you are for sure on to something with that launch you figured outI did for my most recent runs, yes.
I have ran a few 60-130 times. And I’ve tried map 6 and map 7. Both feel like they pull much much harder than map 2. I also run 100 octane race gas. E85 has been causing me fuel pressure drop and cutting out. But map 2 on 91 octane was actually faster in time even tho it felt much slowerAnyone have 40-100 or 60-130 time slips?
I tried running map 3 and map 5 with E30 blend and it definitely seemed surge-y and not consistent, or as quick as map2. I don't have a draggy to actually see that, but my runs looked normal from the logs. I think I'll just keep her on 93 and get the intake done when I get some free time or shops open back up. Maybe an exhaust to save some weight as well.
I did run my friend in his GTI and we switched cars for a bit and from a dig the AWD G70 gets the GTI, and would keep ahead as the GTI spun enough not to be able to catch up but from a 40 and a 50 it just gaps the G70.
He ran an FBO 450 WHP dynoed Camaro yesterday and it didn't go well for the Camaro. We also had 3 people (about 620 pounds worth) of dude in the car and ran a stage 2 GTI with a skinny dude up front and just left him. He described it as cheat codes and it's making me think about doing that once my lease is up as a cheap car to just own and modify without worry.
I've been feeling need for more speed and I'm looking at an RS3 this weekend. I doubt I'll be able to not get it up the rear buying out my lease, but maybe... There was one for 43.9k at a dealer a couple hours away in the spec I'd have wanted but according to their dealership it sold this morning (but we've all heard that before).

Plus you can make 1200 hp in the stock transmission in an rs3. Just gotta upgrade the clutches to hold the power. The fasted one in the world is actually located here in Vegas and is stupid fast. I think it runs like 8.4 I believe in a 1/4 mile
I'm going out with my friends to take a peek at one.The RS3 was the one car I didn't get to test drive before buying my G70. I really wanted to drive that thing. Maybe I can swing by an Audi dealership anyway and pretend to be interested. Maybe they'll take me more seriously with my G70 anyway.
Anyway, if you do end up switching, I'd be interested to see what you think.
Yeah. I would definitely miss some of the creature comforts, especially cooled seats. So the rs3 aas powerful as it is and can be with simple mods would also be kind of a down grade as far as interior. Pretty basic on the inside. And it is much much smaller than the g70. I’d love an rs5,6, or even a 7. 5 is fairly reasonable and the same ish size as the g70. Plus you can get it in a sport back which is super cool looking
Ya the avant is super nice. Should be available this year depending on how the virus has slowed things down. I’d probably go for the sedan myself. But there are some mean euro spec Avants that are making like 1000 hp. And they sound so insane. One day when I hit the lotto I’ll get one hahaYeah. I would definitely miss some of the creature comforts, especially cooled seats.
But at least the MQB platform is pretty simple to work on and get more out of. Not sure if that holds true for the longitudinal platform.
I'd definitely rather have an RS6 avant but at that point I'd be worried about maintenance and such.
Kinda weird for me as usually I like big boat cars, I had almost gone for a used G90 over my G70.
JB4? If so what map? Here are my 2 best runs.
2019 3.3t sport AWD. Denso 5346 gapped to .24, BMS Intake

Same car without intake (and a much better DA)

I should be able to find a day that is a bit closer in DA for a real comparison. (And the dragy is a lot of fun)
No JB4. For both runs I left out that I was running 93 octane.JB4? If so what map?
You could try getting ahold of @Slip_Angle. He has a very good system for launching awd cars.No JB4. For both runs I left out that I was running 93 octane.
Someone, earlier in this thread, was wondering about the comparison between stock and just an intake for mods, and I was trying to provide a baseline. I didn't realize that the DA was so different on the 2 days. It will be warmer this weekend, so I may try again with a stock set up.
It could be a while before we get any tuning support that we can just obd2 flash. Probably a few years sadly. And I hope there is something wrong with your tune if you are only seeing values of 6 for your ignition. Every map I run sees 16-17 at around 6200 rpm. If you need any help you could email me logs and I can look at them if terry doesn’t get back to you. But this is his product and he has been doing it for a very very long time, he will have the best answers about any questions you may haveWell, I had a guy with an FBO stinger run me (intakes, full exhaust, midpipes, running E30, about to install WMI and having the EWG controllers) and of course got me, though not a crazy amount. But what I expected.
Thing was, his logs showed 11 degrees of timing in map 2, mine show 6. Guess I'll be sending Terry some logs.
He, in turn, also got walked by my friends GTI last night. Today, however, we went for a dyno session. He is now up 20hp/35tq peak over where he was the day previous, as well as a solid 50hp in the midline.
He broke the current stock IS20 world record; 360whp/450wtq, after putting less than 2k of mods in. Next step is a hybrid IS20 (quicker spooling than the IS38), only run $1200, and super easy to bolt in. That MQB platform is hilarious.
Also drove well over an hour to the dealer that said they'd love to do an eval on my Genny and let me drive and RS3. They didn't look at the G70, and it was a hassle to even get to sit in the RS3, didn't even get to try it. Won't be looking at them at lease end.
Definitely excited to see where some of our tunes go. Really excited for OBDII tuning possibilities. During my friends session today, he had 8 new tunes sent to him during the two hour period. It'd be awesome to have our platform supported like this.
