Mapnsoft v14 on the Horizon

Curious what happened here. So you bought a new Genesis within the last three years, but MapnSoft is not offering you a free map update? I've heard some say this. Curious what they say if you ask them why, what's up.

At some point there should be a click box for "Bill to GMA"

Anyone else notice the 2 options in Climate settings are now gone with v14?
It was 2 checkboxes. One was Smart Vent and something else I can’t remember.
the Setting option is there but it doesn’t take you to the Climate options anymore and I can’t find it anywhere!

Never looked until now that you mention it. Smart vent and Auto defrost. So, did they eliminate them or did they make them standard? I know I had them both checked but have not looked for them since I set things up 2 1/2 years ago.

Yeah hopefully it is standard now. Unless they forgot all about it!

Didn't notice!

Edit: yep couldn't find the setting. However, I tried the "SmartVent" by setting the AC to RECIRC and then opened the sunroof....flipped RECIRC off. So seems to "still work".

I noticed that they removed the "previous starting point" from the navigation. I loved that feature in an unfamiliar town.

Opened a case with Genesis thru the Owners.Genesis portal and the Mapnsoft portal.

I have updated to my 2019 G70 to Mapnsoft version "2019 Genesis G70 Map Update 141S5_A" and now can no longer find multiple settings and features.

In the manual on page 3-135 I should have a setting to enable disable the Smart Vent and the Auto Defog (See attachment).

Also, I can no longer see the option to route to a previous starting point. See second attachment.

Thus, I am asking how do I control and use these features now? Moreover, there appears to be no "Climate Settings screen anymore".

Again, three features are missing that are described in the manual:

1) Smart Ventilation and its settings
2) Auto defog and its settings
3) Ability to route to a previous starting location

I also placed an order with Bill to GMC. However when I look at the order it says 'bill me later' under payment method lol.

Is this normal? I thought map updates were included for 5 years for free. Don't need a surprise the next time I visit the dealer or get service done.

Yeah, others mentioned that’s normal. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Looks like the download for the G70 v14 is there today.

Noticed something odd regarding version 14. The voice accuracy has diminished in my Santa Fe but works fine in my G70
Go figure.

I’ve noticed another issue with this update. If I have CarPlay on the screen but I’m flipping thru my radio presets, it will switch back to the Genesis radio screen when I hit a different radio source. My presets are a mix of SiriusXM and FM stations. It’s annoying if you noticed the other the other quirk of the direction the stations change with the steering wheel control depending on which Genesis screen is displayed.
