Mapnsoft v14 on the Horizon

Download fixed it. So, for anyone missing the 2 settings do the download. The download is a different version of the software than was delivered on the cards.

I will say the download version seems "slower" like others said, especially the USB music - takes forever to start playing. The version missing the settings didn't seem this slow.

Did you just overwrite the existing card or use another card?
Anything else new?

Yeah, but at least with the Cookie Monster voice it's mildly entertaining. I just wish they'd expand some of the things he says.

I have spare SD from past upgrades in the car so I used one of those.

I don't see anything else between the two versions.

On my wife’s 2019 Sorento, they added Quiet Mode. Basically it turns off the second and third row speakers!
Kinda neat!

Ok, New owner here.. 3 weeks since purchase. I know I don't have Version 14.... I did sign on on Mapnsoft. I swear it allowed me to download, but I wasn't ready as I wanted my dealer to do it. I just found that he's clueless about a new version, so I figured I'd give it a try. But next time I sign in... no go.

I did read that one has to wait a bit. Is that my issue? I was able to create an account, but once I selected my car type, it says there is no update available, in spite of it noting a NAM.13.41.41.XXX So I know I don't have the newest (I have 12....) I never did enter a VIN. only same info I use for Genesis.

I'll try calling Mapnsoft tomorrow, but curious if I'm just being impatient. TIA

You won’t be able to order without entering a VIN. I would avoid the hassle and just order the SD card.

April 27th, 2020 We usually release a new map update twice a year (in March and September) or once a year (in March). If you performed a map update after the release date above then your map is up-to-date.

No, no box. I never have. I think I just signed in for the first time just a week or so ago. Again, I've only had it for 3 weeks. I was going to order for the heck of it, but can't get to that point. Strange.... unless I just have to wait for the dealer to enter some info. I can sign into the Genesis site, but I think I could do that pretty quickly. I don't recall the first time I signed in there. Thanks for your responses! I'll keep reading. ;-)

I ordered mine fairly within a week or two after purchase. I’m not sure if it’s something on the dealers end since you can sign into the Genesis owners site.

Interesting. Well, I'll be making some calls tomorrow. I was hoping it was something simple I was missing. Maybe it still is. Duh.

I think the dealer has to enter some info for map people to know about your car. It took me about a month for my vehicle to show up as well for everything including connected services stuff. I have not updated yet but do have the new SD card. I’m not one who has to have the latest and greatest right then and there. Some of the issues folks have had and changes made to our operating system have not had me in any hurry.

Yea, reading this thread, I did see some comments about that. Odd since we are good on the Genesis side, so I figured it would be for everything. Guess not.

I was not able to order an update for over a month after I bought the car. I tried about once a week and then one day, it worked.

Well, Go figure. I signed in again today (Thursday) and all is right! I was able to either order one or download it. I figured I'd get the card for this one, so I ordered one to ship to me. And yes, there was even a check box to bill to Genesis. Now let's see when it arrives. I'm thinking I'm on the way to the new version.

When you get the card and do the update check the SW version. If it's not 401 or larger you'll need to do the download anyway. There was a critical bug in the earlier versions.

I ordered mine on Monday and got it today, Thursday! I am in Florida.
