  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Hey All,

I'm looking to purchase a G70 in the next week or two.

Narrowed it down to:

New 3.3T AWD Sport - 52K

New "demo" 3.3T AWD Sport with 4.5k miles - 44k

New 3.3T AWD Prestige - 46k

I'm was torn between the prestige and the sport before I found the demo. Not sure I could justify +$6K just for electronic suspension.

But then I found the demo G70 sport for $44k. I'm thinking I can't really pass this one up. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Anyone have any experience buying new "demo" cars?

Thanks.

Purchased my G70 base model (MSRP 37k) for ~34k OTD in socal all thanks to @R-spec. The 3.3t was tempting but socal gas prices/mpg is horrible.
Thanks for helping me out w/ my genesis purchase. I really like the genesis and am already considering purchasing another one within a year or two!
R_Spec did right by me as well.

was that a 2019 or 2020?
2019
didn't know why it did not sell.
'Was one of those red ones. I think someone said these were repainted due to paint flaw?

That's a great price on a 3.3t. Especially if it was sold as a new car. Makes me reconsider looking at the 2.0 to try to get a purchase price near $30K.

No sold as used- apparently was owned by the dealership???

Anyone know the story of these red ones?
Anyway- the car is perfect for me, a better fit than my G80.
Pretty close to an Audi S5 I tested for 2/3 the price and hassle factor. Ride fairly close to a 3-4 level BMW but not a rough on poor roads.

they came up with another one- red again

Where are they getting these?

what does the advanced have that my elite does not? this one is a lot more asking price

I assume the "demo" car is being sold as a used car, and I think that means you will lose the valet service and the 10 year powertrain warranty that comes with the new cars.

I asked and since it was never titled to anyone it would be considered new, with full warranty and valet service.

4.5k miles on a demo sounds very strange. employees were probably using it, so may been pushed alot

Looks like it was an executive driven demo car. I'm guessing the sales manager drove it for a bit. I'm on the fence about it, only reason I'm considering it due to getting the 10 year 100,000 warranty.

Get everything in writing for you know how used car salesmen can be. Don’t assume and get hosed later when you need that extra warranty.

Yeah for sure. For what it's worth, this is directly through a genesis dealership. And I intend on getting the warranty in writing if I end up going with this one.

Since you couldn't decide between the Demo or the Prestige you had only one choice left ;)

I had to drive 300 miles to find a new (non demo) G70 in the color/package I wanted haha.

Definitely worth it, and the ride back was too short :).

I’m looking for a base(ish) G70, 2019 or 2020. Only requirement is I want the stock full LED headlights. If anyone can recommend a good dealer with good pricing in California or Texas, please let me know. (Currently moving and can buy from either state).
