  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Curbed my rim

Well I have both but after 13 surgeries in my right eye I can’t see much. It’s kind of like looking through Vaseline covered eyeglass lens on the right side.

Ah I thought the one-eye reference was a euphemism for seeing um... a distraction 😁

In the last 2 months I've managed to curb both a front and a rear. The last time I curbed one, I paid about $200 to have it detailed out. My G80 will be 3 years old this coming March '21. I'm just going to let the two recent "curbs" go as I don't think it impacts trade-in value that much.

Gezzer mode...

In so cal. There are many wheel repair and powder coating places. I used jr wheels in garden grove . They do excellent work repairing or changing colors. Also had my brake calipers powder coated.

I also used a mobile wheel repair, but wasn’t as good of a job.

Just dropped off my wheel at the repair shop. They said it will take longer than normal to fix it, as they want to get the color just right. Got to drive home using the spare for the first time.....also the first time I've had a car with a non-steel spare! Hah.

Max speed is 50mph, I felt dumb driving down the freeway back home so slowly. But, the upside was I got amazing gas mileage for the ride home. Check it out...

Haha. Turns out the AWD V6 can get really good highway mpg if you just go slow enough!
How the hell? I put my 18 g80 on Eco on highway going 70 I'm still getting like 20mpg

Eco just makes it upshift quicker...

Of course. You cannot run your engine any leaner;). I always drive in sport, and get the same mileage as eco... if I want to.

I have not noticed any appreciable difference in MPG based on drive mode. Sport mode I have to be more gentle on peddle movements for sensitivity is increased vs Eco mode things are more soft and more forgiving on drivability.

When did this change from a wheel thread 🤔

Has anyone found the color code for the bronze factory rims on the sport g70s and g80s yet? Recently scratched the hell out of front right :/
