What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Detailing is an illness. I'm selling my 2009 Infiniti and people tell me it looks BRAND NEW (inside and out, including the engine).

It's nice to tinker on weekends, and I really appreciated my infiniti and wanted to keep it nice. Now I have the G80 to take care of.

I like how you think. I always keep my cars looking a new as possible by fixing blemishes and replacing worn part inside and out. My old 2004 Infiniti FX45 look like it came off the show room floor when I traded it in 2013. It makes me feel good to have a nice looking well kept older ride.

Installed EVO remote starter on my Genesis today. I really like it. It works with factory key fob and really nice to have for cold Canadian winters.

Well said Carguy75, I too like to have an older ride that looks just as good as new. And like you said , fix whatever is worn or broken when its time . Keeps your ride right!

I am sad leaving this platform but I will be still around. Out of all forums that I have gone through, this is my #1. I love the fact that everyone here is very respectful, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Thanks to everyone who helped to make all mods happen in my Genny.

The reason I ask is, I just had put some new tires on my 15 5.0 and had to take them back off the car due to Vibration. The guy at tires tires tires said they road force Balanced them? Bulshit I tell him. I took them to another shop and stood there while the y did road force balancing and both front tires failed miserably!!@ Even after that one of the tires dont balance correctly.

I went with The Conti DWS06s. I love the tires, just not the sap who sold them to me. These cars are very sensitive to bad/ poor balanced tires. Its much better now . I just want my car to right and if a performance tire needs 4 ounces of weight and the other tire only needs a half ounce something is not right. Even the back 2 tires only used a half ounce for each tire . And they are wider?

Well so far. It's been a few days and no issues. Went with the same tires I've put on my wife's 5.0 three times. Michelin Pilot A/S 3+. Pretty nice improvement over the Toyo Proxes 4 that I had on mine when I got it. Those were not good tires for this car in any way. Rough, loud, and slick in rain. The Pilots have always been great.

I brought my 5 year old dead battery back to life.

To begin, I have not driven my Genesis in about two weeks and the battery ran down to 4volts. No power at all to the car. I tried charging it with my fast charger at 10 amps for a couple of days by using the battery terminals under the hood and it maxed out about 7 volts, but it seems that the car system was siphoning off the charge and kept bringing the charge down.

Well ,I decided to just disconnect the negative battery cable in the trunk and directly charge the battery without the system being connected, and the battery quickly charged back to 12v. I had to use my key to open the trunk manually to access the battery terminals.

At first i was thinking that the battery discharged itself too low to bring it back and that i had to buy a new one. Luckily the AGM batteries in the Genesis is more robust than the typical lead acid batteries used in most cars.

So before anyone buy a new battery , try disconnecting the negative cable and charging the battery directly in the trunk before writing it off as bad.

Glad it worked but at 5 years and one deep discharge, I'd be looking for a new one.

I wouldn't play around with the 5 year old battery. Replace it and be done with it before it creates new unforseen problems.
