  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I installed the BMS 450 Wheel Horsepower Genesis Package Today (less the intakes as they are still on back-order). It is really an impressive package. Only been on a few short drives (Map1 and Map2) and the performance increase is impressive. Logged a bit on Map2 and am seeing 17psi of boost tapering to about 14pis at redline, vs stock 13psi to 9psi at redline.

The install including the spark plugs took about 2 hours in total. The JB4 install is super straight forward, the most difficult part is installing the OBD2 connector and getting the wire through the fire wall. Once that is done it is really simple.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Perfect, also I bought the JB4 for my 2019 Genesis G80 Sport 3.3T, and is awesome the power that gets the car but the intakes I don't know where to find it.

Once I finally got the green wire out of the connector I fitted my EWG wires and now waiting until I have enough miles under my belt before I add mine into the mix. I too am waiting for my intakes. Exhaust and downpipes are on the shopping list at some point too!

BMS do one and it seems there are plenty of others

I was looking around and saw an auto tune map for other JB4 applications. Is that something that can be worked on for our cars or is there a limitation to why we can't have it? Thanks. @Terry @ BMS

Terry doesnt have a regular presence in our forums unfortunately, just to help you out you will be better served by posting here: Kia & Hyundai Turbo - N54Tech.com - International Turbo Racing Discussion or here: Burger Tuning JB4 Support

Edit: ive seen someone ask this before in the stinger forums but I cannot remember Terrys answer. Good luck getting an answer, Im curious what the limitation might be as well

So does one need to change the spark plug gaps or change them out of this to work on a G70 3.3T? If not, is there any risk at all on the G70 if I just run stock plugs and no gap adjustment?

Possible to run Map 1 with factory gapped plugs according to BMS. Recommended to run at least gapped stock plugs for any higher maps.

emphasis on possible. Some have had issues with map 1 and stock plugs

Do yourself a favor and read the FAQ on burgers site along with the JB4 threads here and on the Kia Stinger forums. Dont mod your car if youre asking basic questions like this without doing your own due diligence first

yep there is only 150 pages of reading to do :ROFLMAO:, but it gets the excitement going if you are a petrol head like we all are :-)

I never got around to installing the plugs that came with the JB4 order. I've had my 3.3 Sport for about a year and got the JB4 almost immediately.

I rarely push it hard so may be why I've not had a problem with the stock plugs?

I have been doing 30% E85 and the rest 97 on every fill-up and have been running the same map all year. For me its still map 5. (Up to 7psi over stock. For use with unleaded race fuel and/or E85 mixtures up to 30%)

You should do a couple logs and have someone look at them. Just because you don’t feel anything, doesn’t mean you’re engine isn’t pulling timing to protect itself

I just got a 2021 g70 3.3t Sport and i want to slap a tune on it but I don't know how reliable this JB4 piggyback is, if something happens to my engine I'm sure the dealer will find out I ran higher boost if they look hard enough. Has anyone had any issues with the JB4?
