  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Exhaust options!

I posted my Maintec Variable Catback write-up.

It was definitely more involved than a usual catback, but it was a project I enjoyed. I go over what comes in the kit, how I installed mine, and my impressions on it. Since this thread is for general aftermarket exhaust info, I'll say that the exhaust fitment was excellent. Kit completeness is good. Instructions are poor. Sound is exactly what I was looking for.

For everyone with remote controlled EVC exhaust. You can program homelink buttons to control. No extra remote to carry now, love it. Almost as good as a factory install controlled bu the sport mode, actually I like this better.

Anyone installed an EVC system in which you don't have to run a vacuum line all the way up to the engine? Hoping there is a good system available that utilizes and APP or similar to have the exhaust open/closed/halfway?

Kunstwerk, remote control just connect to accessory in trunk, also can program to homelink buttons.

Now Having my Kunstwerk evc for about 2500 miles Sounds better than ever.

Hey Rob, which kunstwerk did you go with? How did you go about ordering it? I am having trouble finding a way to add the g70 exhaust to my cart on their site. Not to mention it isn't the easiest to navigate even with google translating lol

I assume the G70 exhausts are the same price as the stinger? How long did it take to get yours?

Not sure which contact is best send both.
Not sure about price should be the same as stinger. I have Racing Evc with their downpipes.
I contacted them a few days ago and they replied in less than 30min. Remember Korean time.

Is there a specific site? I haven't been able to find a vendor on google lol
Not sure what happened. Maybe covid got them. Did you try the contacts listed above. I may be going back to stock due to possible move with no garage if interested in mine . Kunstwerk racing catback with midpipes /downpipes.

I havent tried them yet. I figured I'd take a look at the site first. I am certainly interested if you do decide to convert back. How's the cabin drone around 2k rpms?

Well that's why you have the close valve quiet option. No really with valves open drone city. Closed very slight around 1700 to 1900 and slightly louder than stock but in my opinion the way it should have been stock. But remember my setup also has The midpipes. I installed the catback before ordering midpipes. With midpipes deeper and a little louder. Would you also be interested in the JB4?

Yeah I should've specified with the valve closed. I'm already running JB4 and its definitely a great piggyback unit. As for midpipes, would you be selling with or without the midpipes? Im assuming the kunstwerst setup is from the secondary cats back?

I have been in communication with KUNSTWERK. They say they will be ready for the US release very soon in the price should be around 1800 plus shipping. They also asked if I would let them know what people think they can't wait to hear feedback. They also wanted the forum info.

I have been researching exhaust for my G70 i4. The sound I like best from a four is either the Subaru WRX which has a nice throaty sound and a BMW that I could not catch to talk to the driver. As my son articulates "most of the i4 exhausts sound like bees farting in a can." Actually a pretty close assessment I'm afraid. I think that a dual cat back can slightly improve performance and am also wondering if it might provide a better tone then one cannister of farting bees?
We are discussing building a cat back utilizing Black Widow 250s. Right now my stick point is the cat. Not a significant improvement in flow from a stock to race cat so am thinking to build or find a downpipe utilizing the stock cat. It will still improve performance and not mess up the computer and warranty.

I will be selling all together. The midpipes are also Kunstwerk. I have posted pics and a review.

Got locked out of my other account lol so this is my new one. I'm definitely interested in your set. Is there a way I can contact you to discuss details?

Just checking in if you have given any more thought to selling.... I would be happy to take them off your hands

So now that bms is coming out with their wastegate controller set up I’ve been starting to browse through catless downpipes again. I remember seeing sixth element had a set for just under 500$. Now I can’t find it anywhere. Only the lap3 for 700 is what I can find. Anyone know where to find the sixth element pipes?
Sharkracing has a downpipe with a high flow cat and one without $640 and $495 I think.

What someone really needs to make is a straight pipe with an EVC to a muffler. I really like the straight pipe sound, but I sure do wish I could turn it off sometimes.

Someone on the stinger forum contacted junbl and they made one for him.
I'm sure if you contact Kunstwerk with above emails I bet they would do it.
