Was the dealer reluctant to do a HAPP deal? I've heard that some have been since there's isn't a lot of money in it for them.Bought my 2010 pearl white/cashmere 3.8 PremNav on 12/28/09 (delay in posting due to pc being hosed since Christmas). Dealer installed KDM badge on rear (I have added wheel caps and steering wheel myself). MSRP was $38350. Used HAPP and recd $1500 competitive vehicle rebate. Price (w/ dealer fee included) was $34000 plus tax, tag and title. $4350 under sticker/$1876 under invoice.
2010 Genesis 4.6 Platinum silver with Black Interior + Tech package
MSRP: $43,800
Price paid: $40,350 + Dealer Fee + Tax
I was looking for white pearl + cashmere combination but there was none in North east area.
Hey guys...new to thread and just wanted your input on price.
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a NEW 2009 leftover with only 15 miles on the clock...can't believe I found this car. Most dealers with 09's have a 1000 or more miles on them from all the test driving.
Anyway as I said its an 2009 4.6 White Pearl/Black interior w/ tech pkg (MSRP $42,180) and I got the dealer down to $35,500. Is that a good deal or should I try reaching for more? I thought it was pretty good regardless of the fact that its a leftover...has no miles on it and the seats are still wrapped in plastic.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!
That's a good price. That's what I'd expect to pay for a 2009 3.8 Tech, let alone a 4.6. If you can live with the lack of assisted cruise control, electronic parking brake, a tweaked suspension, and a few other things, it would be a really good deal.
EDIT: Invoice on the 2009 4.6 Tech was just under $39K, and the current Edmunds TMV is $38,272. You might want to confirm that they've applied all of the TSB's issued to date and maybe even get them to upgrade the map data to 2009.
Suspension is 100% subjective, it's a big issue for some and not an issue at all for others. Be sure to test drive the model you are considering, both as a back seat passenger and while driving over rough and uneven surfaces (i.e. usually not the roads they take you on for test drives). Even if it's not to your liking, you may consider that changing tires, adding weight to the trunk, or break-in over time will improve some of the unsettled feeling that some people experience.Good points. The only thing I think I would like to see improved is the suspension. How much better is the 2010 suspension? Is there anything else i should be aware of ?

Bought a left over '09 4.6 Platinum/beige w/ tech package.
Would not prefer to post details in here, but let me say I got an awesome deal on it.
Final price was basically at trade-in value for a used one.

It's nice to hear that you made the plunge. Do you ever sit in your car when starting up and say to yourself - "Geez - I'm driving a GENESIS" - how lucky I am?
I had a previous hyundai salesman ooing and awhhing over this car saying it looks just like a Lexus!
