  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Confusion About Trim Options - 2.5 vs 3.5

I wanted a 2.5T with HUD and Quilted seats. Infact there is no way we can get any of the following with the 2.5T model.
- Highway Driving assist 2
- NAPPA LEATHER WITH QUILTING
- ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED SUSPENSION
- MONOBLOC FRONT BRAKES
- GENESIS DIGITAL KEY
- SUEDE HEADLINER
- rear heated seats
- 12inch 3D digital cluster
and many more. I want a 2 spoke wheel Burgundy model but i have to compromise on both to get all the features and end up paying more even when I am compromising.

In the US, Digital Key & Hwy Driving Assist II are included in 2.5t Prestige. In Canada, additionally you get HUD & Heated Rear Seats.

And yet you can get fully digital dashboards as well as a HUD in the Santa Fe! Hyundai really needs to re-think these Gensis trim levels.
If I wanted Hyundai I would purchase one, but its a Genesis forum and we all want luxury brand, don't we? =) Besides new Santa Fe exterior is very ugly imho.

Oh wow, no 3D cluster for 2.5 even on highest trim. That's very disappointing. I saw that the half dashboard does have blind spot camera that shows on it so it's not too bad. I really only want the sports version to get rid of the weird looking steering wheel.
I know I will get trashed for this, but just for conversation has anyone that is considering the GV70 2.5 checked out the redesigned Lexus NX? I have an order in (no money down) on a GV 2.5 but was looking and reading what the new NX offers for about the same price (new prices not available yet) and I am quite impressed. No performance car for sure but it has all the extras offered, with 0-60 now listed at 6.8 sec. Owned a 2016 NX and it was slow, slow, but solid as a rock. Sold it after two years. The NX won't be available till third quarter this year.

I'm in the same boat as you. Deciding between the GV70 and the new NX2022. Reliability seems about the same (barring the GV80 recall). I think the only reason to get an NX over this would be the hybrid option.

This seems to be the thread to ask these questions. I'm looking at GV70s and Santa Fe Calligraphy Editions. Top trim on both.

I'm focused on figuring out driving and infotainment tech differences, not engine or trim/styling options. I understand what's going on there.

Are there any key things I should be aware of? They seem to both have the exact same features for those sorts of things based on a chart from a previous post. That comment seemed to hint that the Highway driving assist worked a bit different, how so? Anything else?

Thanks all!

The SF Calligraphy drove very nicely. Fugly compared to the GV70, but a much better value at $10K less than a 2.5T Sport Prestige, and it has the HUD and digital gauge cluster.

The major electronics missing on the Santa Fe Calligraphy are the superb Lexicon stereo and HDA2:
- Highway Driving Assist 2 + Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control w/ Auto Curve Slowdown + Pre-Safety Belt;
- FCA with Lane Side + Junction Crossing + Evasive Steering Assist; and,
- Genesis Digital Key (?)
These are available on the GV70 on the 2.5T Sports Prestige and above.

The SF Calligraphy also has a smaller infotainment screen (10.25 vs. 14.25 on the GV70 IIRC) and a10.25 digital gauge cluster. A full digital cluster and HUD are only available on the very top GV70 trim.

This is incredibly helpful. Thanks! Did you find that the core driver assistance stuff (LKA, Adaptive Cruise, etc) worked as well as the G70? I'm mainly concerned with Adaptive Cruise that works well in heavy traffic, taking me from a full stop, to going again.

I believe the SF Calligraphy driver assistance suite is the same as that in the Base, Select and 2.5T Advanced trims. They work very well on the SF.

I have been debating between the 2022 BMW X3 at $48,000(HUD, Digital Gauges are included) vs Genesis 2.5T Advanced/Prestige at $50,000/$52,000. I test drove both 2.5T and 3.5T and really liked 3.5T but dont have the budget for its prestige package but I found bmw drive of X3 better than the 2.5T GV70 (I hate Genensis are not giving digital cluster on 2.5t prestige model).

2022 x3 does look way better than the 2021 version but GV70 has a very exclusive look but no digital gauge, hud and lesser drive in 2.5t is pushing me towards X3.

Both include 3 years of maintenance which is great.

Good points for sure. Is there any way to get ventilated seats on the X3? (I live in FL, so this one of my priorities)

Love the ventilated seats on the GV70.

Ventilated sits are available on X3, but based on people's feedbacks they are uncomfortable and you simply can't get sporty bolstered sits with ventilation.

It is very difficult to find an X3 with vented seats unless you build and order the car from scratch. In what is a major miss for both Mercedes GLC and X3 their expensive premium packages do not include vented seats. It is a stand alone option on both. In BMW's case the entire seat is different and many complain that they are not as adjustable or comfortable as the regular seats. That is a non-starter for me here in Arizona at that price point.

Just to clarify-if I want to get the 2.5 Advanced, I can’t get the lexicon premium audio system? Does that model just came with the same audio system as the 2.5 base model?

The 2.5 advanced has it. Any of the 2.5s higher than the standard have it.

The Lexicon System is available on the:

* 2.5T Select, Advanced and Sport Prestige, but not the Standard.

* 3.5T Sport Advanced and Prestige, but not the Standard
