  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Guide: Accessing the Engineering Menu.

Hello guys,

I own a 2013 Genesis Sedan 3.8L with Lexicon touchscreen NAVI.

I was able to access the "BLUETOOTH ENGINEERING MODE" by following a guide on this forum and without even knowing how I did I ended up in a "DEV MODE" with more options but I have no clue how to go back there.

Let me know if you found out how to access the full ENG Sub Menu. I'd like to change the bootup screen!

Thanks!

Can you please provide the thread link you referenced?

I did not think anyone was able to establish how to get into any engineering menus on the 2013-14 as of yet!

Here is what I did:

I can get into two "hidden" screen.

1) BLUETOOTH ENGINEERING MODE

- Press the PHONE button
- Go in the SETUP screen (I don't remember what is the exact menu caption but it's when you change the phone/bluetooth settings)
- Press the lower left blank/black space about 1/8 inches from the lower left corner of the screen one time and then press the upper right blank/black space about 1/8 inches from the upper right corner of the screen one time as well

2) DEV_MODE

https://goo.gl/photos/EsW86dNhRHG5eMXQ9
https://goo.gl/photos/uiXed9hgbvgeyWjT7

- In GPS/Navigation mode, push the SETUP button
- Go in INFO (I don't remember what is the exact menu caption but it's when you see the globe with the satellites)
- Press the globe (by making sure you are not over a satellite) for about 3 seconds

I'm pretty sure we can get something out of the AMOS menu screen...

Let me know if you find anything else or if you have trouble getting there since I don't remember exactly all I did. I will do a video tutorial if needed.

So, I'm stoopid...... what can I do other than check SW versions. What can I change that might be beneficial or different that I may like such as splash screen on start up?

Hey guys,

Did anyone figure out how to access the Engineering Mode Menu on the Ultimate trim (2015+) model year?

Thanks,

Does the base trim genesis have one of these engineering menus? Or is it more of a this is what it is, if you want it some other way you can get bent.

What I did to access the screen on my 2012 Genesis

•Engine on, but not running
•press and hold down Disc/Aux, Navi Menu and back button simultaneously with your right hand and press the power button at the same time with your left hand.

2012 access

Hold back, disc/aux, navi, and push radio power button simultaneously. Once in menu, go to the option that says "to full eng mode" then type in code 0324 and hit "ok".

Now you have access to the full menu. If you go to variant settings and scroll all the way down you can turn the Prada startup screen on so it will show Genesis Prada on the screen when you start the car up. Pretty cool. I've also turned on my ESC height just cause I like to pretend it's on air. Lol. Seat easy access on is a must if you dont have it enabled. Couple cool things you can do in this menu. Also somewhere in the menu it shows current battery voltage and you can read DTCs

I've made a video guide on how to do this in a 2012, fellas.

It works for my 2010 4.6L just can't change the startup to Prada. Probably because the Prada hadn't come out yet I guess.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Will this work on a 2011 EQUUS? It was suggested I check the diagnostics for battery voltage - trying to confirm if my alternator is dying / dead.

I have a 13 with Lexicon, non-touch screen. I do not have the disc/aux button. Anybody have any ideas?
I dont think there is a way to do it on those cars as you need to have the

Nobody has released a way to do this yet for the 13+ models. If you figure it out, let us know.

Edit: try phoning your dealer and see if they know the trick. Usually they need to know how to access it just incase they need to get in there for some reason

might be late, if your Alternator is dying you will notice very weak power steering (meaning it doesnt work and you take more force to turn your steering wheel)

Occasionally the sound freezes up with phone Bluetooth on, ours you'd have to turn off, then on. Until I found this... the amp needed resetting. Then voila!!!Screenshot_20220412-113722_Chrome.webp

Can you update the 2012 with the 2013 software update. It updates the menu system and the GPS in the 2013.
