GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

Oh I completely agree. In the same situation, just disappointing that we’re choosing to pay $15,000 more for a very similar vehicle without having many options. Canadian market just doesn’t get enough focus from the automakers compared to our southern neighbors. We’re not even close to 10% of their allocation on many models unfortunately

Same boat. Except about 40k annual for me.

Literally exactly how I feel. But at the same time understand this is the current market and they need to maximize profits since they cannot deliver cars in volume. The only reason I will move forward is because i can flip the car easily in 8-12 months - or if the market begins to shift sooner. I actually have my eyes on the upcoming Ionic 6 sedan or Genesis equivalent. Better price and prefer sedans anyways ;)

I ordered mine on March 17th, test drove it last week and told it will be arriving by end of June/early July.

Honestly, when I placed my deposit online I didn't realize the order will be processed as-it based on my configuration at the time. I thought there is time to change colour/option as I was told the car won't be arriving until the end of 2022. Out of the blue I got a call from the dealer to test drive in May and here we are... patiently waiting for the delivery like everyone else who ordered it!

At risk of being accused of being a Genesis apologist (again), do any other North American vehicles have AR like that?
Could it be that our outdated regulations or the litigious US prevents them from offering it here?

Questions:

1. Will gas remain at such a high price in the following two years?
2. Chargin is not free, how much is it to drive 40,000km?
3. What is the depreciation of the EV? Is it greater or smaller than gas vehicles?

Well right now I'm trading in my truck for more than I bought it for 3 years ago. That perfect storm won't likely happen again. Also at the moment I'm spending 700$ a month on fuel. After everything is all said and done my financing should be in the range of $600 a month.

Seems like a pretty painless upgrade to me. I know I won't necessarily be saving money, but at the end of the day, I'll have a vehicle that's valued much higher and I won't be simply burning money for no reason either.
