You bought the car used, right? If yes, that's the big risk when buying a manual used car. Previous owner probably didn't know how to drive one properly, inadvertently riding the clutch, for instance. That wears it out in a hurry, along with the throw-out bearing. Unfortunately for you, Genesis is correct to assume it's a worn out clutch, so you need to authorize the repair, in case it is. If dealer say it is, demand seeing the clutch first, with somebody who knows, to confirm the diagnosis. Fortunately, it's easy to tell if it's a defect or not most of the times.
