GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

I think I may have mentioned this a couple of weeks ago, but in case I didn't, while Performance models have indeed been "prioritized", Advanced models are still being delivered. Mine is due to arrive Friday (at dealership in Montreal) and I will likely pick it up early next week as I will be away this weekend.

Also for what it's worth, if you are in Quebec (or elsewhere) and trying to track your car with the VIN on Hansen's, it really is hit or miss and dependent on when they choose to update it. Even knowing that my car was in Canada last week, the website still showed no results when I searched. It was only recently that it updated and now indicates the car's location and delivery ETA. It appears that at least in my case, until it arrived in Quebec, no information was available.

- What dealer in MTL (i'm west island)
- What color (mine is white with black interior)
- What was your order rank? (im around 45)
- So from when you got your VIN to delivery was about 2 weeks?
 
Once you have a VIN and the car is on a truck, you can track it at :


Use your VIN and the dealer 's postal code. Hansens is used here in Quebec, I do not know if all dealers use the same transport company.

Man I can't get a hold of anyone at the dealership in Toronto regarding my order... just brutal customer service. Emails/texts/phone calls and no one gets back to me days later.

You can only track once it is on a truck. Not on the train

-Order rank is 1 (as crazy as that may sound!)
-I would say anywhere from two to three weeks from when I got the VIN, but I did ask for it specifically and wasn't just sent it, so not sure how it really means.

Ill keep an eye out for you on the roads next week. I'l be the poor sucker driving my wife's 2011 elantra wagon. (Sold my Tesla model 3 six weeks ago - and am in car enthusiast purgatory :(

Yeah, Genesis Downtown. I transferred my reservation from London to Toronto a couple of weeks ago. Transfer went through fine, but now they're saying they submitted my order to Genesis Canada but haven't heard back from them. When I was with London, my order number was 875; now it's unknown which is obviously worrying. Really hoping I'm not at the back of the line now because I decided to transfer. I don't see how transferring dealerships should affect my order number.
 
For people who already have deliveries set up, what dates did you pre-order?
 
I feel bad for you. My GEM responds to emails within minutes and is a genuinely nice guy.

He said that Genesis is flying a bunch of them to Niagara for an in-depth couple of days with the GV60, so I anticipate the knowledge level among to the GEM's will notch up a bit next week.
Same here. I ordered from the Vancouver location and its been a great experience.

I’ve had very timely responses from my dealer at (Toronto) Yorkdale, despite me being a bit further down the line. He also told me they are expecting to deliver their first GV60s by the end of June.

Who's your salesperson that you've been contacting? I believe I'm at the same dealership.

Genesis Downtown is the most useless car dealership I have ever dealt with.
Based on my experience with them if I were not so keen on getting an electric car I would have taken my business elsewhere.

Yeah. Their customer service has been awful to this point. I'm really regretting transferring to them.

It seems these dealerships mostly don't care about communication with these orders due to the fact that if we were to cancel, there's someone else right behind us due to the high demand. There's no commission for them to my knowledge, so why should they go out of their way to satisfy us?

I’ve been communicating with my auto-assigned salesperson, named Tai. Assigned when I put the pre-order in online and selected Yorkdale. He’s acknowledged that I probably know more about the car’s features than he does, but he is definitely responsive.

Genesis Canada definitely has a lot of demand for these. So much so that they had to stop orders one week after the price announcement.
 
From what I have been told the cars are built by color. I see some white/green/blue/red preorders are getting lucky. Did anyone who ordered Hanauma Mint receive any news on delivery?

Ours is Hanauma Mint. Order #265 . June message from Genesis indicated 4-8 month wait. Next update is mid July.
I do hope to see Genesis rep next week as she indicated test drives will be available soon in Edmonton ( invitation is being sent out by weekend)
