Just got an update from them. Finally diagnosed after 4 weeks. Electrical issue (already knew that) and the part has been ordered & set to arrive September 26th. These clowns really think that's an acceptable time frame to fix but whatever; the rep said they'll expedite the shipping and it'll be here to fix sooner than that date.Have they replaced the computer yet? Document exact dates and times it's been out of commission and look up your lemon law in your state you could make them replaced yours with a new one.
What constitutes a lemon car in Virginia?
In general, a lemon car in Virginia is a vehicle which has a defect or condition that has not been repaired by the auto manufacturer after three repeated attempts. Also, a car can be considered a lemon if the problem is a life-threatening defect that was not successfully repaired after the first attempt.
Regardless, I'm looking into my state's lemon law as well. Although, i think the fastest way for me to get my money back would be to sell or trade in this garbage vehicle as soon as it comes back to me in working condition. I'm seeing the lowest value in KBB (trade in) around $48-53k and that's exactly what i paid out the door.
As great as our 2022 Tucson is & as fun as the GV70 has been until this issue, think I'm going to jump ship to BMW/etc.
