The purpose of this thread is only to compile a list of freestanding Genesis dedicated stores operating in the U.S., that each have all of the following minimum attributes:

1.) Separate freestanding non-mobile building(s) dedicated for Genesis sales, parts, and service.
(might be located adjacent to, but not attached to, stores or service facilities of other brands)
2.) New vehicles offered are exclusively Genesis models. (might sell used vehicles of other brands)
3.) Performs service on site for Genesis vehicles. (might not always have valet and/or loaner service)

I read that it was just a sales operation without Genesis dedicated service and parts facility , can you confirm?

I checked with them and this is the response I got:

"I would be happy to confirm the service department is the same location as the showroom. We are located at 13921 S Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers, FL 33912."

I think they opened the showroom first while the service bays were still under construction, I think....

Might they be sharing the Nissan service facility rather than a dedicated Genesis service facility?

I don't think so, Morgan auto group purchased the Hyundai/Genesis dealer (and a few other from the O'Brian group a few years back. Morgan had always planned to build a free standing Genesis dealer ship. The Nissan dealer nest door is owned by Sutherlin.

Here is a blurb from a press release when the deal when through in 2020

"Morgan said the O’Brien crest and insignia eventually will be dropped. The dealerships will be called Subaru of Fort Myers, Hyundai of Fort Myers and Mazda of Fort Myers. Morgan also might build a fourth building to accommodate Genesis of Fort Myers, a luxury model that competes with Mercedes and BMW and is made by Hyundai.

“That brand wants to have its own identity and own building and make it more of an upscale experience for customers on a standalone basis,” Morgan said."

But I will probably be down that way soon and I will stop by. I got my Genesis at Genesis for Naples a few miles away. (Naples is tied to Hyundai)

The article at the link below indicates that Sutherlin purchased the Genesis dealership from Morgan this year. Sutherlin opened a Genesis showroom in the former Nissan used car sales building while a new facility is built. Perhaps their new Genesis dealership is completed?

Thank you for this. Hope you will update this list at least monthly. Everyone should provide you with what is happening in their market. I am in Framingham, MA. The rumor is that the owner of the Hundi dealership is in negotiations to purchase a 3 story brick office building next door that will be torn down to build an exclusive Genesis dealer, but it will take at least 2-3 years for that to happen in my opinion. The Boston area does not have any Genesis only dealers at this time.

Thank you for this. Hope you will update this list at least monthly. Everyone should provide you with what is happening in their market. I am in Framingham, MA. Unfortunately, there have not been any details submitted about additional operating dealerships that might qualify. (Seems like there are plenty of rumors of building conversions or new construction, but nothing that can be added to the list above at present.) In another thread, someone claimed that there are more than the 3 listed above, but a request for details was unanswered. There was another post indicating that Genesis of Braintree has a stand alone dealership, but it appears to be only a separate a showroom at this time. As previously indicated, GMA Consumer Affairs has been unable to supply a list of locations that meet the qualifications. If someone from GMA is monitoring this forum, please share that list with us. If any forum member has a contact that can provide the list, please help.

Well Genesis is requiring all current dealerships to begin construction on independent building and/or atleast have a seperate dedicated showroom/building for only Genesis as I hear they really want to distance themselves from Hyundai.

I can tell you that this is fact, i know a guy that basically owns a gazillion hyundai and genny dealerships here, dude regular meets with the company execs, but many dealerships outside of his org have said this aswell. This is why many have stopped servicing and selling them outright.
