GV70 2.5 rear end noise

With as many problems encountered with the rear differential (and other repetitive problems such as Infotainment connectivity), and assuming that some are from US-owners, then I'm surprised there's not a single complaint on carcomplaints.com. That said, it would seem the complaints for popular cars started to fade in model year 2021+, so perhaps fewer people are using the site and/or the content owner simply isn't importing meta data as thoroughly as the past. If so, that's a shame because I enjoyed comparing brands and models, looking up TSB's, recalls, complaints, news related to class action suits, etc. It was extremely helpful when I shopped around in 2017.

But I digress. Back on page 14, Both Terradude and Cnst pasted a picture of the following parts:
53000R00 Carrier Assy-Differential and/or Gasket

Question out to @dhuhtala and @Jake 2021 : if you happen to see this... do you know if you had the same part number on your recent replacement?
 
Those codes seem to be for 3.5 engine models. That’s what my dealer told me, and dismissed them as irrelevant code numbers to my 2.5 engine model.
 
Finally got the wife's GV70 in for regular service today and told them about the whine. The tech stopped me as asked very specific questions as if he already knew exactly what it was doing. Said he'd take care of it. After they serviced it, they test drove it and ordered a new rear end for it. Was surprised how easy it was to get done. Apparently they've done several already.
 
2023 GV70 with 2k miles..in for new rear Dif..Anthony at Lakeland Genesis has been exceptional to work with so far..should be fixed next week..gave me a loaner..fingers crossed.
Update...still at shop...its been 11 days...parts are in just no one to replace it?

Got rear diff replaced today, for the second time… I really hope this is it.

They had our 2022 GV70 for over 2 weeks now. So the battle has just begun. Just got this from them
Good Morning, sorry for the late response. my Master tech just give me a update: Verified customers concern during test drive, performed inspection and no DTC codes found in the system. Inspect fluid level on rear differential found low over half a quart, called Techline stated to replace rear differential. We have to order the part.

I wonder why did it take them so long to figure out that its a differential issue. This is a common problem, some dealers can diagnose it in a few hours and some dealers takes weeks.

I'll find out, maybe they didn't have the part. We don't care we got top of the line GV80 loaner . So less miles on our car. Still ETA is 2-3 business days from today for it to arrive

That's nice that it'll only take a few days for the part to come. Hope this a good sign that's parts can get here faster but probably depends of dealer volume in your city.

2023 2.5 sports prestige. 3200 miles. Started hearing the hum / woo sound at 28mph and again around 52 mph and will go away when gas pedal is pushed. I can hear it at times around the same mph while coasting. Now my OCD hears it and I am hyperfocused on hearing it. Have an appointment this Monday and I had to fight like hell to get a loaner. I am in Oklahoma. Service person who answered the phone stated "we.were told to everyone we dont have any loaners" Any tips on getting this fixed faster anything I can share with the dealership to help them solve the issue faster?

You have to drive with the mechanic in the passenger seat and point out exactly when and what you hear. That's what I did. When I came to my dealer who is in Bergen County New Jersey to discuss the issue. They said we have to make an appointment. I said no problem but I will need a loaner had the young man as a service otherwise. He told me we don't have a loner , I said. Am I driving a Hyundai or a Genesis? What is your suggestion? He told me maybe I can have someone pick me up or ask a friend for a car 🤣🤬 so I started to getting a little mad. I didn't care when I will get an appointment I've been driving with it for a while. So he basically tells me they don't have a date. Then I said I need to talk to someone who is in charge of you because I didn't want to get loud with him. The guy came who I guess is the boss looked on the computer asked me the questions. I told him I need an appointment with a loaner. I don't care when but I am not borrowing anybody's car. So appointment was made 4 weeks from the date I was there. Now I have the loner going on week three. It should be done tomorrow or at least this week because the part was received by the dealer yesterday. The car is great but they do have to separate Hyundai and Genesis ASAP if they want to stay a luxury brand because in my opinion luxury brand is not just a car but everything that comes with it including the service. Presently my second car is Volvo and I never have any issues like that. Even the car washed every time I show up and not just cheap sraying water wash on it but a pretty good one including inside.
 
So here is what was done to our 2022 GV70
1. INSPECT AND FOUND REAR DIFFERENIAL MAKING THE NOISE. FOUND FLUID LOW AND IT TOOK LITTLE
OVER A QUART OF GEAR, OIL NO DTC IN THE SYSTEM. SENT STUI VIDEO AND CALLED TECHLINE TECHLINE RECOMMEND TO REPLACE REAR DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY AND FILL FLUID
AT PROPER LEVEL. TEST DROVE VEHICLE FOR 10 MILES AND NO NOISE HEARD.

Anyone have a contact with corporate Genesis? I literally cannot get local Genesis to call me back after 2 weeks and leaving messages everyday. I set up an appointment 1 week in advance to drop off my GV70 and pick up a loaner. Loaner wasn't available when I arrived. WTH? I set this up with you guys 1 week ago? Manager had a young man call me and gave me a direct number to call with any issues going forward. Haven't been able to reach him since that day. I called concierge service they opened a ticket 3 days ago... and again no updates or communication from Concierge as well. I do have a reference case number but that is all so far. I have left 2 messages a day for 2 weeks. I honestly would like any feedback at this point.
 
nced 2.5 That has had the whining noise since I purchased the vehicle. It is most audible accelerating around 50MPH. Took it in and they ordered a rear differential around 25,709 miles. Got the vehicle back after about 5 days and it till has the whining noise and rattling in the rear from them removing muffler and suspension parts to replace differential. I am now at about 27,500 miles and waiting to take it back in for whining and rattles!

I own my 2023 2.5 gv70 prestige since almost 3 months and i had almost 14k kilometers, i’m starting to hear the same whining noise from the back end of the car
So i think it’s the same problem, i have booked an appointment with the dealership next week hope they fix it asap.
will update once they figure it out, anyone from Saudi Arabia having this issue too??

Update. I just got my gv70 seen today. Almost 1 month of phone calls and using concierge service. Worthless. Dropped off vehicle and dealership agrees needs new differential. Ordered today and now I wait again for the part to arrive.
